I went with a mate to watch the first game of the PL season. The venue is nice enough with decent décor. The drinks are expensive but don't necessarily justify the price tag. We ordered a couple of burgers via the website using our table number, which is a useful choice given how busy they said it was - although it wasn't as busy as other venues playing the football nearby. We waited over an hour and a half for food, at which point a waitress gave me my chicken burger, apologised for the wait and walked away. I tried to ask the waitress whether to expect my friend's food soon but she didn't seem to hear me. The food isn't worth it. The burger looked like it had been thrown together and was bland. I ate about half of the burger when the manager approached me in a rude and hostile manner and accused me of taking the burger from the table next to me. I pointed out that the waitress gave it to me and he asserted that I had not ordered food. Upon producing my online receipt he then said that the burger was meant for the table next to me and blamed me for accepting it. It appeared to be lost on him that I had ordered a chicken burger and was given a chicken burger. He then said if it was their mistake he would get to the bottom of the issue and then stood and stared at me before storming off. Then a young waitress approached and said they had started making our food - they had not even started cooking our order despite us waiting over an hour and a half. The manager did not return and we did not get an apology or explanation. I then requested the manager, cancelled my order and was issued with a full refund. It was only at this point the manager was apologetic. I left during the football, which we had gone out specifically to watch. I emailed the owner to raise my concerns but they did not provide an explanation - only the offer of a bar tab. However, I did not accept as they would probably accuse me of stealing the...

Brotherhood and Pursuits: A Cozy Sports Bar with Unique Charm

Nestled near St. Peter's Square, Brotherhood and Pursuits presents itself as a distinctive and cozy sports bar in Manchester. Despite being on the pricier side, this establishment offers a unique experience that's worth exploring.

Crafted Cocktails and Sports Watching: The standout feature of Brotherhood and Pursuits lies in its well-crafted cocktails that, while a bit on the expensive side, deliver a delightful drinking experience. This, coupled with the establishment's provision of a fantastic platform for sports viewing, attracts both sports enthusiasts and those seeking a unique, intimate bar setting.

Crammed Atmosphere and Intimate Size: The charm of this venue is accentuated by its smaller size, which creates a somewhat crammed yet cozy atmosphere. While the limited space might deter some, it adds to the establishment's appeal, offering a sense of intimacy and camaraderie among patrons. The hustle and bustle contribute to a lively ambiance, ideal for sports events and socializing.

Recommendations and Overview:

Brotherhood and Pursuits, despite its higher pricing, stands out as a unique sports bar that caters to those seeking a more intimate and cozy setting. The carefully crafted cocktails and the opportunity to catch sporting events in a welcoming environment make it a go-to spot for sports enthusiasts or anyone desiring a different drinking experience.

The bar's small size may not be for everyone, but it certainly adds a distinct charm, providing a more closely-knit atmosphere that fosters interaction and an immersive sports-watching experience. For those seeking a break from larger, more bustling sports bars, Brotherhood and Pursuits offers a distinctive and more personal option in the heart...

First night out in over a year. I had no phone so was frowned at because the staff had to put my details on paper and I couldn't scan the table service qr code either, again a massive inconvenience obviously as the first drink I ordered from the waitress who came over to the table didn't arrive I waited 90 minutes before saying anything. Went to the bar and "table service only" was barked at me. After again explaining I had no phone the waitress again took my order and it came (they left the drinks in front of someone else at another table but I forgave that and just took the drinks as my mouth was like the Sahara and I was hungry for the sesh) When the time came for a second drink I had to approach a friend and ask them to order for me as I was sick of being made to feel like an inconvenience because I had no way to scan a bloody picture on the table.

I also ordered food which I thought was very tasty. I won't be going for drinks for another few month as its just too much hassle.

If it's table service only you need to provide table service and walk around checking. For many reasons not everyone can scan a dumb qr code. TAKE MY CASH!

Please note that before the pandemic this bars service was very good but they don't seem to be able to manage under the new...

Came across this place after a recommendation from a good friend and i was slightly in owh of the place. From it being pet friendly they do some amazing bites to eat, an who can moan at 50p wings. The staff were great, greeted us with a smile an made us feel genuinely welcome. I am in love with there back bar which is probably on of the best stocked I've seen in a long while but whatever your fancy I'm sure they'll have something for everyone. It's quite a cosey venue but don't be fooled by the ground floor as they have a large basement area too with plenty of room, and yes its a sort of sporty bar but not one of the rowdy kind like some chain-bars i could mention. I'n my opinion deffo worth a pass through as you make your way through the city madness!!

Great space to hang with mates. Lots of games to play ranging from board games, beer pong, table tennis, pool, etc. Good beer which is important for my husband and cocktails for me👌 it's a clean establishment and promotes acceptance throughout Thier downstairs decor via witty "brotherhood rules". This place had a tv in every part of the establishment! So its perfect for the avid sports fan. However the interior design of the place is tastefully done so you don't feel like you're in a typical sports bar. Loved my time there on a date night with my husband and look forward to a night out with friends or colleagues😁

Came here to take on their GutBuster challenge! We were a bit disappointed to find out it wasn’t the one that BeardMeatsFood took on, but realised the 50 chicken wings in 20 minutes would have to do. A serious struggle for me (only managed 26), but light work for my friend - it was his first challenge and he is now the only person to beat the new one! The staff were all so friendly, and the food was really delicious too - also, the bar/restaurant itself is so nice - so many cool spots and bar games to play! I highly recommend just for drinks, but take on the challenge if you dare!
