Highly disappointed.
Me and my friend were looking somewhere to eat the day before we came to Manchester for comic con, we saw that Wagamama offered some gluten free options. So we decided to grab some food there. I asked for the gluten free version menu to see what I could actually have, I saw that the grilled chicken Raman was an option I could have with the rice noodles. I was really excited to finally be able to try some ramen seeing as I could never try it due to being a celiac. Once we were ready to order our server didn’t seem to really care, looked like he didn’t want to be there. when he was talking he would mumble neither of us could hear what he said. Honestly it was quite poor. I expected better service. If you didn’t like that job why be there? Customers are relying on clear communication and good service.
Anyways i asked for a gluten free grilled chicken Raman and my friend said what he wanted. Finally got our food and I tucked into it not knowing that it actually wasn’t gluten free, that it wasn’t served with rice noodles. Of course I didn’t click because I’ve never had Raman before how would I have known the difference?
Later on in the day after eating there I had a bad celiac reaction, I was confused to why I was reacting, I hadn’t had anything I shouldn’t have I double check the things I eat and not to mention I hadn’t eaten much and they were safe foods for me. The only thing that popped into my mind was the grilled chicken Raman. It was the last thing I ate and only an hour or so I reacted after eating the dish.

Read moreThis wagamama is the best I’ve visited in the UK, not only is the food amazing as per usual but the staff are second to none. They make every visit worthwhile. Blake, mai and charlie served us this visit and were wonderful as per usual. Blake has amazing knowledge of the menu and gave us stellar recommendations. Mai and charlie are management/ team leaders and we saw them guiding their team wonderfully and taking charge when needed. They both seem to have wonderful relationships with their team members and everyone seemed at ease around them and their management style. Our food was run by Kenza who made such lovely conversation with us both (and we had matching earrings so amazing style🥰😗) everyone walks around with a smile on their face and is more than happy to help and get you anything you need. He wasn’t in today but special mention to James- probably the most lovely guy you’ll ever meet and always greets me with a huge smile and asks how I am. I will be forever loyal to this wagas!! If you haven’t been now is an amazing time to pop in as there’s so many new things on the menu and the staff will be happy to talk you through it and explain what...
Read moreFood was amazing as Wagamama's always is! But the service was awful. We were approached initially for a drinks order and asked if we were ready to order food but asked for a few more minutes and were told they would be back over. They never came back over. From this point we waited and waited and ended up feeling uncomfortable because we had to badger them to take our order for anything else after our drinks. It was INCREDIBLY frustrating as me and my friend sat and watched how attentive all staff were to all the other tables BAR ours which then completely ruined our meal out. It's safe to say I will never be returning to this particular restaurant due to how rude and inattentive the staff were. I work in a customer service job myself and I have complete respect for all staff as I know how much work goes into the job and how physically and mentally exhausting it can be. But there is NO excuse to be rude and show no effort, ESPECIALLY when your customers are being painfully patient and polite and you STILL make no effort. You applied for that job, you know what it requires of you. If you don't like it, get another job!
Painfully...
