Highly disappointed.

Me and my friend were looking somewhere to eat the day before we came to Manchester for comic con, we saw that Wagamama offered some gluten free options. So we decided to grab some food there. I asked for the gluten free version menu to see what I could actually have, I saw that the grilled chicken Raman was an option I could have with the rice noodles. I was really excited to finally be able to try some ramen seeing as I could never try it due to being a celiac. Once we were ready to order our server didn’t seem to really care, looked like he didn’t want to be there. when he was talking he would mumble neither of us could hear what he said. Honestly it was quite poor. I expected better service. If you didn’t like that job why be there? Customers are relying on clear communication and good service.

Anyways i asked for a gluten free grilled chicken Raman and my friend said what he wanted. Finally got our food and I tucked into it not knowing that it actually wasn’t gluten free, that it wasn’t served with rice noodles. Of course I didn’t click because I’ve never had Raman before how would I have known the difference?

Later on in the day after eating there I had a bad celiac reaction, I was confused to why I was reacting, I hadn’t had anything I shouldn’t have I double check the things I eat and not to mention I hadn’t eaten much and they were safe foods for me. The only thing that popped into my mind was the grilled chicken Raman. It was the last thing I ate and only an hour or so I reacted after eating the dish.

If you have dietary restrictions please make sure your server is actually listening to you or avoid if you’re unsure and stick with what you know...

This wagamama is the best I’ve visited in the UK, not only is the food amazing as per usual but the staff are second to none. They make every visit worthwhile. Blake, mai and charlie served us this visit and were wonderful as per usual. Blake has amazing knowledge of the menu and gave us stellar recommendations. Mai and charlie are management/ team leaders and we saw them guiding their team wonderfully and taking charge when needed. They both seem to have wonderful relationships with their team members and everyone seemed at ease around them and their management style. Our food was run by Kenza who made such lovely conversation with us both (and we had matching earrings so amazing style🥰😗) everyone walks around with a smile on their face and is more than happy to help and get you anything you need. He wasn’t in today but special mention to James- probably the most lovely guy you’ll ever meet and always greets me with a huge smile and asks how I am. I will be forever loyal to this wagas!! If you haven’t been now is an amazing time to pop in as there’s so many new things on the menu and the staff will be happy to talk you through it and explain what...

Food was amazing as Wagamama's always is! But the service was awful. We were approached initially for a drinks order and asked if we were ready to order food but asked for a few more minutes and were told they would be back over. They never came back over. From this point we waited and waited and ended up feeling uncomfortable because we had to badger them to take our order for anything else after our drinks. It was INCREDIBLY frustrating as me and my friend sat and watched how attentive all staff were to all the other tables BAR ours which then completely ruined our meal out. It's safe to say I will never be returning to this particular restaurant due to how rude and inattentive the staff were. I work in a customer service job myself and I have complete respect for all staff as I know how much work goes into the job and how physically and mentally exhausting it can be. But there is NO excuse to be rude and show no effort, ESPECIALLY when your customers are being painfully patient and polite and you STILL make no effort. You applied for that job, you know what it requires of you. If you don't like it, get another job!

Painfully...

24/10/22: Chicken Gyoza; steamed dumplings, grilled, with a soy dipping sauce. Chicken Yakitori; marinated miso glazed chicken skewers, coriander cress and sesame seeds. Chicken Gyoza Ramen; chicken gyoza, ramen noodles, vegetable broth, roasted bok chjoi, half tea stained egg, chilli sambal paste, spring onion, coriander, chilli oil. Chilli Chicken Ramn; chicken. ramen noodles, spicy chicken broth, red onion, spring onion, beansprouts, coriander, fresh lime. North Brewing Company; Atlantis pale ale 4.1% and Lucky Buddha Enlightened beer 4.8%. Photo/review update. Since opening the first noodle canteen in Streathan Street, Bloomsbury London in 1992 (store closed in 2016), Wagamama have grown from strength to strength. Founded by Alan Yau, who subsequently created Hakkasan, Yauatcha and Busaba Eathai restaurants. Located all over the world, and 2 cookbooks under its belt. Simple, balanced, tasty food. February 2022: Good food, great location, a place for lunch. Not as exclusive as it once was before the chain got going. Still tasty food, so I'd recommend the chicken Gyoza and Chilli Chicken Ramen! Friendly, helpful staff! Easypay!

We turned up and waited in the foyer as you can't book, I wasn't keen but the waitress was really organised and gave us menus and TBF it's not the sort of place you spend hours over a meal so we were seated very quickly. We were seated on bench seats again not Keen but there was enough room between other parties not to feel cramped in, our order was taken quickly and our table number scribbled on a paper place mat with a qr code to pay, what we ordered was also scribbled on the mat so the guy bringing the meals knew who was having what. The food was really nice and well cooked and well presented. The firecracker curry was a bit too hot but the name gives it away so my issue I guess because it was delicious if you could handle it. The only problem I have is that the waitress said they were starting a new menu tomorrow so had no wine at all, one lager and she had to ask about that because she wasn't sure there was any and quite a bit of other stuff that never affected us I think that is dreadful what a shame because everything else was great.

I wanted to visit here for quite some time and finally did it. It's a nice chilled place. You can watch the chefs cook your meal as it's a live kitchen and fresh food concept. Tried the following dishes : Spicy miso mackerel - Mackerel fillets glazed with a spicy kimchi + miso sauce, served on kimchi fried brown rice, sweet potato, tenderstem broccoli, bok choy and shitake mushrooms, topped with Red chillies, fresh ginger and coriander cress. Crispy chilli mushrooms - coated + fried crunchy oyster mushrooms, dusted with red pepper powder, served with a chilli plus coriander dipping sauce. Vegan k dogs - two vegan corn dogs made from soy protein and coated in a crunchy noodle crumb, drizzled with turmeric vegan Mayo + sriracha topped with chili and coriander. Koko Panko Chicken - Crispy plus zesty panko coated chicken, tossed in a coconut chili and lime salt rub served with a side of sriracha vegan Mayo.
