Superb customer service from the young lady called IRA or IRAH. She had a very happy and approachable demeanour, and a huge smile that became infectious and also made me smile. She was very patient when the app was playing up because of the signal, (which is a major deterance that needs improvemey ASAP!) and even let me quickly run out the door to try to get it to work. The whole staff worked well today and were rushed off their feet, trying not to bump into each other, bless them. The queue was consistently long, and at one point, it even reached the front door! And I saw 2 customers walk out because of the length. The staff did a magnificent job with trying to manage the queue, but with it being this busy, I just hope that each staff got their full break. I think they should employ what I've consistently seen Starbucks does to make their queues go quicker during busier periods, and have 1 or 2 people consistently serving at the till, and the rest of the crew make the drinks. And 1-2 are consistently clearing the table inside and outside. The service was 5* but the cleanliness was 2.5*. There were so many places to sit that was filthy, so it wasn't inviting. Also, often I pop into this branch, the manager's never in on the weekends, which I think is a bit unfair to other staff members. Overall, excellent service from Ira/Irah, good service from the rest of the staff, but the cleanliness and queue management must improve for a better...
ย ย ย Read moreI went to Costa for a drink today (12/12/23) so because I have autism which is a disability, I couldn't use the small toilet with the locks on because they were too small and small and cramped places can be a struggle for me because of my condition and Lesley who works there was encouraging everyone to use the toilets with the code on so I said to her that i couldn't use the locked toilets because i have a disability then the response I got was "you can walk" now this has left me feeling very panicky and humiliated because I can't help having a disability and it's not okay!! I told Danielle the supervisor and she was really lovely about it and very apologetic and another girl who worked there who was also very apologetic, sadly I didn't get her name but she offered me a drink on the house and a cake! As I did feel very shaken up as I have never been discriminated in a coffee shop, I won't be returning again EVER!!
I suggest that the team member in question gets some disability training too after her ignorant comment about me being able to walk I mean how is that helpful??, I won't be coming back ever again and I will encourage others not to aswell unless you want the mockery and pure ignorance because you have a hidden disability. ๐๐ป๐๐ป
And I will also add, whenever I go to this Costa one day there isn't any hot water and then the next time I return there isn't any...
ย ย ย Read moreHave been more than a hundred times to this place as itโs near by to my house , and this one time a new team member by the name Kareem was very rude and it looked like he was very unpleased by the fact that we were Indians and his behaviour was abysmal. I started placing the order (again no hi no customer service nothing) and he goes take away or dine in. I said take away and he had absolute zero patience in listening to my order and after each item I told him he kept asking take away or dine in??? Clearly he was not happy seeing us. This doesnโt stop here and mind you the two other staff and customers behind observed this and he made a mango bubble frappe without bubbles ?? And my husband was like this is the worst frappe I have had in years . When Mr Kareem got us our orders to hand out he did with so much difficulty and didnโt bother hand out straws or tissues and another staff member reached out to this. I too working in a customer service industry and this is unacceptable irrespective of you being a new member or trained cause the gist of this industry is good CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Itโs not meant to be treated like anybody is...
