I don’t even know where to begin! We were greeted nicely at the door and was told the waiter will find us a table only to be left there for several minutes while he had a conversation with someone else. To then be sat on a table with more food under it then we had in our plate. We weee given both standard, child and buffet menu. We tried ordering on the app but just couldn’t work it out, so made our way to the bar to ask if we could order with a member of staff where 3 of them stood having a little chin wag, 2 of them watching 1 other polish cutlery. we were told we have to order on the app or on the tablet in which only 1 out of 3 worked. I then asked another member of staff what the difference was between us ordering our own pizzas or getting pizza from the island in the middle of the restaurant. We were told that it was the buffet menu and was closed from 3pm. It was 15:10pm when we were told this but multiple pizzas were still being made and put out for the buffet. We ordered our own pizzas and still questioned if we could have the buffet and we’re told if it was still on the website then we could. I think members of staff need to either be re-trained on the times certain menus are running from or at least all be on the same page so you don’t give out mixed information to guests. We ended up getting the buffet after a struggling conversation with I’m assuming a member of management and would be refunded for the price difference which was appreciated. Asked for a glass for the bottomless drinks we’d ordered and were told to wait and they will be brought to the table with the pizza we’d originally ordered. So we couldn’t have a drink before our food arrived? I can’t quite understand why so many members of staff were working at the same time, most of which quite literally doing nothing but waiting for customers to leave so they can clear the table and yet you don’t have any type of table or bar service. I have so much respect for everyone working in this industry and will always give members of staff the benefit of the doubt, being a part of the industry for 9 years myself and never in these years have I ever been more frustrated and wanted to leave a restaurant before. Ive never written a negative review before as I completely get how it makes workers feel knowing they were on shift at the time but I could not let this go without saying something. I don’t know if all pizza huts are like this but will never visit this...
Read moreMy experience of visiting Pizza Hut has left me with mixed feelings. Full respect to the hardworking staff who were not only friendly but seemed to be putting in extra effort on a particularly busy day. It's always refreshing to be greeted with smiles, especially when things are hectic. The ordering system was pretty good, which is similar to Tim Hortons, there's no table service; instead, you place your order through an app (which you scan at your table) or a machine in the restaurant. This method works surprisingly well and, as I was informed by a member of staff, was implemented to address the issue of people running off without paying. However, my enthusiasm took a turn when I discovered that the unsold pizzas from the buffet were being discarded. Whole pizzas, untouched and unserved, were destined for the bin. It left me scratching my head, wondering if there might be a more sustainable solution. I can appreciate the need for a system that prevents people from leaving without paying, but witnessing perfectly good pizzas go to waste seemed counterintuitive. I understand the reasoning, but it's disheartening to think that, in the effort to avoid one problem, another arises. Perhaps being there in person paints a more vivid picture of the sheer quantity being discarded. It begs the question of finding a balance between deterring dine-and-dash incidents and minimizing food waste. Pizza Hut impressed me with its hardworking and friendly staff, as well as the efficient ordering process. However, the sight of untouched pizzas being thrown away raised concerns about finding a more sustainable solution. It's a delicate balance between preventing losses and ensuring that good food doesn't...
Read moreThis was not a good experience, ok I get that the world wants us to go cashless but to be told it's card or you can't eat is poor way to start a welcome. Inside you are told scan the code (let's hope you have a working smartphone with plenty of battery) you spend the next 30 mins trying to find what your found on the paper menu and complete your order (let's hope your happy using your card online) and then it ask you to leave a Tip ....so who is that for ? I've done EVERYTHING Myself collected my own food and poured my own drinks ....ok so let's head to the toilet where the sign reads we pride ourselves in toilet cleanliness ....as you wade your way through the urine from the overflowing urinals with buckets filling under them.. the food was ok IF you like the gamble ..NOTHING and I mean Nothing is labelled on the buffet so it's a guess to what pizza you are going to get and if you have an allergy there is a board for each pizza type about 10 meaters from the pizza stand but remember the pizza is not labeled so your back to pizza roulette the same going for the sauces in the salad. Once we gambled our way through the food it was warm enough and some really quite good BUT in my opinion as someone with allergies and a dying phone I would head...
