I visited Bill's for a late lunch with a friend and we were served by Holly. I have recently found out that I have a gluten intolerance so am getting used to what I can and can not eat. After letting the host know about this I was provided with a separate gluten-free menu which was much bigger than expected and had a wide range of GF options, the staff were very accommodating of this and took their time to ask about allergies. The food was perfect and reasonably priced, however when the bill arrived there was a 12.5% optional service charge already added to the bill, I found this abit strange as there was only two of us, we had a quick meal and the waitress had only visited our table to take the order and check back on the food. I have no complaints of the small amount of time the waitress spent at our table as I don't like to be constantly bothered when having a meal, however I found the 12.5% optional charge slightly beggy and uncomfortable, however I do understand this may be how the restaurant works and what is expected of the waitresses to do. As someone who works as a waitress myself, this is something that I was very unfamiliar with as we are only expected to put service charge on a bill of over ten people and make the customers aware it is there and that it is completely optional. This is not a complaint about the waitresses service at all. Other than that...
Read moreI recently visited Bill’s in Milton Keynes and had a delightful experience. The restaurant is situated in the Centre:MK shopping centre, making it a convenient spot for a meal during a shopping trip. The interior is stylish and welcoming, with a relaxed atmosphere that suits both casual dining and special occasions.
I opted for the Bill’s Big Brunch, which included two fried free-range eggs, smoked streaky bacon, Cumberland sausage, roasted plum tomatoes, mushrooms, fried potatoes, baked beans, black pudding, and toast. It was a hearty and satisfying meal that kept me full for hours. The ingredients were fresh, and each component was cooked to perfection.
For dessert, I couldn't resist the Triple Chocolate Brownie served with chocolate sauce, whipped cream, and a chocolate flake. It was rich and indulgent, the perfect way to end the meal.
The staff were attentive and friendly, ensuring that we had everything we needed without being intrusive. It's also worth noting that Bill’s offers a variety of options catering to different dietary requirements, including vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free dishes.
Overall, Bill’s in Milton Keynes offers a diverse menu with something for everyone, set in a comfortable and inviting environment. Whether you're in the mood for a substantial brunch or a sweet treat, it's a great...
Read moreI liked the place itself, very nice ambience, service was relaxed, staff were polite, pleasant and laid back, I order a main breakfast, my wife ordered halloumi and fried potatoes (these were both on the menu as extras, but we explained that this is what we wanted as my other half has a current difficulting eating certain foods. When my breakfast arrived, they had added the halloumi to my plate and not brought the fried potatoes and to boot the breakfast was quite cold, so I asked if they could bring what we had asked for , they kindly offered me a new breakfast and my wifes meal. The breakfast arrived quite soon after a lot quicker than the first one had arrived, on it were two nice new eggs as the others looked like the meal had been sitting under a hot plate, I ate the breakfast and it was ok, but the one of the original pieces of halloumi was under the hash browns, indicating to me that they just took off the halloumi (not very well) and put on two new eggs. A shame it was quite promising when we first got there, but if all had gone well, I would not have minded the long wait for food, I hope they improve things, the menu looked nice, the place was nice, staff were pleasant, food, let it down as did the rectification of an issue that should...
