Shakeaway — Restaurant in Milton Keynes

My question is how does a restaurant who's sole income is selling flavoured milkshakes able to run out of a main ingredients?

If a company is going to run a store which sells drinks then surely they should take a proactive stance and plan ahead? If your short of smarties to place in a shake then an individual makes a visit to a local shop and purchases some smarties, if you run out of protein powder an individual walks to a local shop and purchases some protein powder?

It really isn't rocket science and it is related to managing stock. If one area of stock is running low then a secondary item is purchased as to not affect customers. The restaurant is in the middle of the town centre not within a village with a 10 mile trek to the closest shop so there should not really be a reason or excuse for them to run out of stock unless the store they visit to purchase the item has also run out.

My visit to Shake away was a waste of my time and one I will not voluntarily make again in a hurry. Hopefully on reading this review they muster a proactive train of thought.

DELIBERATELY CROSS CONTAMINATE DRINKS Appalling: when we asked for a vegan drink we were asked if that was allergy or choice. Once my daughter had been hospitalised due to an allergic reaction having said choice because she chooses veganism as well as being allergic, I returned to ask why the question and they admitted that if you say choice they deliberately use cross contaminated dishes to make the product. And the workers' attitudes stunk, no apology, no care whatsoever. DELIBERATELY CROSS...

Team members too busy chatting to each other to prepare drinks properly: chunks of chocolate bigger than chocolate chips left at the bottom of the cup meaning I couldn’t drink it with a straw as it was getting completely blocked, my drink didn’t taste right because it wasn’t blended at all, and I was unable to finish it because the last quarter was solid. If I wanted a chocolate bar I’d have bought one rather than ask for a milkshake.

Real shame as the usual guys have never made...
