Ranch Cafe — Restaurant in Newark and Sherwood

Only reopened under new management on the 27th march 23 visited 3 days after opening and very impressed staff are lovely very welcoming and friendly... the place is lovely and clean... wasn't sure what to expect after only just reopening under new management but was very impressed... The menu is a bit limited would love to see some good old comfort food meals like steak pie etc fish and chips or even your simple things like sausage egg and chips in the future but there just starting out am sure there well be more coming soon.... I went for the scampi and chips and wow when i got my meal it was the best looking scampi and chips I've ever had with Amazing home made chips nice salad peas and tartar sauce.... its not hard to go wrong with scampi and chips but they brought it to a diffrent level with there homemade touches... cost me £10 with a can of juice ... cant fault the place staff great food great...there off to a flying start after only...

Place looks great! Menu is limited fits on a chalk board. There are bigger menus with more selection in a snack van in a layby. No sandwich ir snack menu. Just main meals at £12 each. Which for a cafe is way expensive. Can go to nice restautrant for that much. Forgot what a cafe is meant to be. Cannot tell you about the food cuz i walked out. He did say he would make me a sandwich if they have what i want. But no menu or prices. Wants the money, but does not want to put the effort in. Shame really could be great place. All...

New owners new furniture new menu. An example of a good transport style cafe. Nicely cooked and quick service. Slightly odd layout for covid situation. The sugar/salt/sauces are at the beginning of the counter rather than at the end. So having ordered you have to get very close to those queuing to place their orders. Would be nice to have a bike rack outside. Plenty of parking. Very popular with commercial vehicle drivers which is...
