Loft Cafè — Restaurant in Newark and Sherwood

Lovely little cafe tucked away opposite the church in Newark Town Centre. Great food both to eat in and take away.

Think café food, but a level above. Nicely arranged and plated food, good quality and good portion sizes. The owners are lovely and welcoming and good to have a chat with.

Menu is varied and some great flavour combos. The wife and I have been both for breakfast and lunch and were thoroughly impressed with the flavours, quality and value in offer.

Thought I’d try this place out for a spot of lunch today after walking past it quite a few times. Had the ‘posh cheese on toast’ with a side of ‘herb crusted roasties with garlic mayo’. Really nice food when it came. Service was slow and only one of our meals was bought the other went to a different table. Staff were very apologetic though. Wasn't impressed that one of the waitresses who served outside customer with a dog chose to stroke the dog and feed it with leftover watercress from their plate. Wasn't a very hygienic...
