Ate here with my partner on holiday and it was absolutely lovely. The food was wonderful and fresh and was prepared to perfection. Lots of options for vegetarians too as you can choose veg and tofu to have in many of the dishes, which was great to see, and one of the main reasons I chose to give Nadon Thai a try. Very friendly staff and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. Will definitely be coming here again in the future. If you're looking for a place for superb Thai food, this is it. Go here, it will not disappoint.
Edit: Just been here for a second time tonight, and the atmosphere was AWFUL. Place was chock full of polo shirt wearing drinking lads and skanks and Karen's who wouldn't stop staring the whole time. Me and my partner were seated right in the middle of them all and couldn't even hear each other talk, and I just felt incredibly uncomfortable the entire time, hearing tables talking about us like we can't hear them. Ridiculously crammed together tables where everyone is practically sitting at the same table. Restaurants really need to start vetting their customers. I highly suggest installing booth seating so people can actually eat in peace and not be around the "woo/weh hey!" Type, or the barely clothed slapper type. Dreadful feeling to eat there tonight. The food was just as good as ever, but it would have been great if we had a moment to actually enjoy it. Won't be coming back until seating is actually separate from...
Read more2024 review: 4.5 The specials were excellent. Lamb shank massaman had a silky thick sauce with so much flavour - perfect winter food. My Tom yum prawn dish was huge, with lovely levels of sour tang. Lip smackingly good. Starter platter was mostly delicious expecially prawn toast and fish cakes, but chicken satay was dry and tasted a day old. Curries are excellent. In fact I'm dreaming of slurping the sauces right now. Not lots of vibe on an early Tuesday evening, but if you get a window seat you can watch the world go by and get a little privacy for your conversation. Recommend
2023 review: Had a lovely post work dinner here with colleagues.
Beef penang with coconut rice is highly recommended. Flavourful, fragrant and fairly generous portions. The lamb massaman looked excellent too.
Mango sticky rice was a tad too dry this time and the rice could have done with a bit more flavour.
Overall a great option for a Thai meal. Service and interior is lovely. Tables a little close together at the back so a loud group of men was very audible for us. And we were perhaps a little loud for the young couple sitting there before them.
Bill came to £22 each for everyone having mains, soft drinks and...
Read moreI am really sad writing this but I was here 3 weeks ago with my husband and I had the Thai red curry and it was delicious. We suggested this place to our friends to meet tonight and it was a totally different story. I asked for the allergen menu and I ordered my curry. Being coeliac I am always cautious where I eat but the allergen menu assured me I could have a curry, or so I thought. Having ordered with a guy who didn't know what he was doing my husband made sure he asked another member of staff to check that they would let the chef know that I had coeliac disease. The young man actually asked me if that is was a serious allergy to which I said yes. About 2 mins later I was told I couldn't have the curry which which was down on the allergy menu as safe but I could have a stirfry which said contained gluten. I then said, well I don't trust your menu so I don't want anything. They did say they would cook the stirfry separately but I don't understand why it wouldn't be labelled as a GF if needed. Long story short, their allergen information is not reliable and as my husband said, due to that they are breaking the law. Ps one star was the lowest I...
