Visited on 10 April 2023 at 7pm. I’ve been to The Siam Zaa before but it was my first time trying their Mu Kathra/Mookata offering - a barbecue and hot pot all in one. We ordered the meat platter which came with chicken, pork and beef as well as a basket of vegetables (like cabbage), glass noodles and an egg. We also ordered a portion of mamie noodles. The platter also came with the option of choosing two sauces and we went with the peanut sauce and chili sauce. The broth that was offered was a chicken broth which was very flavorful. The meat was tender and marinated well! The sauces we chose were delicious and not overly spicy. This platter would definitely be enough for two people but as we were a group of three, we added on two more portions of meat as well. There was also free refill for the broth whenever it ran low. Overall, a very good experience and would go back for their Mu Kathra!

We used to love this place. Tonight (7th Mar) it gave us a horrible experience. We placed our order of 6 items at around 7:30pm, was told there would be a wait which was fine for us. We ordered raw prawns as starter. 4 of the 6 items came out after a reasonable wait time. The raw prawns never came. We chased for numerous times (6-7 times), saying it's RAW prawns, they are starters that don't require cooking. Why would the wait be so long after our main dishes are finished? Eventually we were too fed up and asked to cancel the raw prawns, the staff acknowledged but didn't tell me if he managed to cancel it. After around 10-15 mins. The raw prawns finally came (as desserts???) at 9:10pm!!!!!! The staff whom I asked to help cancel didn't even offer any apology through out the night! Horrible service. We won't be back in the near future.

I recently visited Siam Zaa in Newcastle and had an amazing experience! The restaurant is conveniently located near the train station and right in the heart of the city, making it an ideal spot for a quick lunch or a relaxing dinner. The Thai food here is exceptional - the Tom Yam soup is spicy and flavorful just like in Thailand, and the noodles are simply amazing. The portion sizes are generous, and the prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity of food you get. The staff is friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend Siam Zaa to anyone looking for authentic Thai cuisine in Newcastle. Don't miss out on this gem of a restaurant!

Be aware this restaurant!! We were there last night for a large table. Then the beer called Singha tower was awful, Death Flies came from the beer when we poured into the glasses. And we must order beers by bottle. Could not change different place because our guess been invited were there already and too late for that time. And We running bad stomach after that dinner. Food did not come in an hour and half order. Just 2 slow waitress girls did the very thing for the whole restaurant about 10-20 tables a night. And service fee was ridiculous £100.92. It’s too high to compare with the standard fee in general in the U.K. Seem Ripped off money. It never happened before and anywhere like this restaurant. Bill cost £672.80 so service charge was so high. They couldn’t explain to us. When I phoned and complain they just hung up and I want to speak to manager and they hung up again. It’s horrible service. I wouldn’t recommend and never ever come back. I think the local council should check it out about hygiene to avoid people get infection from...
