WE WERE SCAMMED. Last night a friend and I were leaving Tup Tup and as we got to the door we were stopped by a waitress who accused us of pushing her in the ribs which forced her to drop her drinks. We apologised as it was a busy night but we were both sure we weren't in the wrong. The waitress was in hysterics that we had hurt her ribs, but both of us are small and it is hardly likely we would have been able to leave such an impact by accident. I had had too many to drink and my friend was trying to get me to the ambulance which was parked outside, but we were held up by the bouncer and the waitress who were very aggressive and telling us they would call the police if we didn't pay for the lost drinks. As we are both international students in our first year, and because we were trying to get to the ambulance, we didn't know what to do other than to pay the £48. We didn't receive a receipt, nor did the waitress tell us her name. We were scammed because we were two young and...
Read moreBouncer inside the club near the stairs was very rude and overly aggressive to me. I understand it was his job to came to check my friend who was sleeping at our table. I poked him and asked if there’s any problem because he was trying to wake her up. I explained that i just wanted to help and if the issue was my friend sleeping, I would wake her up myself. Instead of handling the situation professionally, he immediately accused me of being rude and shouted “Don’t be stupid.” because he could remove me from the club. He also claimed that I “pushed” him during that conversation. You can carefully check the cctv footage in the club to see if I “pushed” him like he accused. Later, I approached him calmly to clarify the misunderstanding and let him know that I felt disrespected. I asked for an apology, but he refused, saying he would not apologize because I am “younger” than him, and even went so far as to compare me to his 8-year-old daughter. Very unprofessional and...
Read moreDisgusting service!!! Booked for 12 girls for a friend's 31st birthday, paid £40 per person for a booth (do the math) to be denied in because my friends mum and her friend didn't have ID - both over 50 years old. Spoke to cat 3 times and she was happy to take our money over the phone but never once told us terms and conditions that every person must bring ID. Manager was a waste of space, had no idea about business and only had one sentence he could say - you need ID. What makes you laugh is a group of lads with ID were going in but their jaws were swinging all over the place. The bouncer told us people are turned away every week and makes his job a nightmare. Basically because we didn't fit the image of the club and had a few older guests, we were never getting in. This happens a lot apparently so my advice is this happens to you make sure you stand your ground for a refund before you leave the club like we did. Joke of a...
