I’m not usually a Karen BUT... I ordered food here tonight which my husband collected for my birthday. I splashed out on a £19 meal for myself being my birthday (we ordered pasta and pizza too)- I ordered kind prawns in garlic and white wine sauce. It came with a pitiful 6 prawns and a side of chips. The whole think tasted of Lemon! I’ve never had lemon butter before but omg it was disgusting! It had a huge wedge of lemon in the tub and the flavour contaminated the entire meal, no garlic or prawns to be tasted! It was like lemon curd!!! I called to explain and was told by staff and the chef that it isn’t their fault the lemon contaminated the food as it was a take away so they can’t control the flavour due to travel!!! Also that 6 king prawns IS a main portion. I’m absolutely disgusted that my birthday meal is ruined and that no accountability was taken.

If I could give no...

Friendly staff but this restaurant lacks atmosphere and the food was pretty poor. There were so few patrons (during Happy Hour), clearly it's not a popular place. I had French onion soup, to start, that tasted as if it were out of a packet, left most of it. We shared a veggie pizza and cannelloni - the cannelloni was ok but the pizza was weird. Worst pizza I've had with a distinct lack of vegetables. Couldn't eat it as it was so tasteless. One of the waiters was new to the restaurant and whilst he was helpful he mustn't have any front of house experience as he was unaware that the food was so poor. We used a Groupon voucher that gave an allowance for starter and main. Even though my soup was a couple of pounds under the allowance, they still charged us 20p for the main. Seriously! One restaurant to avoid in the future,...

My husband and I were here recently and it was the worst meal we've had in our lives! Firstly, over £6 for a starter that consisted of two tiny bits of a crusty loaf, a QUARTER of a tomato and about an eighth of a lettuce leaf. Shocking presentation and way overpriced for what we had. Secondly, our main was a steak (which was nice) but it was slapped on a plate with NO VEG!? Again, awful presentation. Thirdly, the interior is tired looking and no authentic Italian feel at all. The only reason we stayed and ate our measly portions was because we had to pay for a taxi out from the city centre, and, not being from Newcastle, we didn't know where we were or where else to go. The website for this restaurant said it was in the city centre....so misleading, and not an...

We were visiting our 2 sons in Newcastle and were looking for somewhere that did Sunday lunch nearby. After a quick search and look at previous reviews, we booked Vincenzo's, and we were so pleased that we did. The staff and service were excellent, the place itself was quaint and lovely, and the Sunday lunch was absolutely superb! We got a stack of beautifully cooked beef with mashed potato and a very generous amount of thick gravy on the plate. Then came the individual tureen full of perfectly cooked vegetables. It really was a fantastic lunch, all 6 of us were stuffed after it, and all for £12.95 each. We would have loved to have tried a desert, but we just didn't have the room. We will definitely be visiting Vincenzo's again for Sunday lunch and an evening meal.

Great food, plenty of parking, reasonable prices but.... The waitress was coughing alot and I overheard them talking about getting tested. That's a big issue in my books. Thanks but we won't be back just based on that. EDIT: Due to the managers response I feel I had to comment. The young girl that they are talking about did indeed serve us but she was not the one coughing. In fact she was super nice and was very efficient at her job so she doesn't deserve what they say about her. Obviously she'll lose the job due to covid lockdown and it's easy to paint the blame on someone who won't return, which I think is very wrong to do. It was the elderly lady that was coughing which I only assume was the owner / co-owner. It's a real shame because the food was rather nice.

I had a wonderful time at Vincenzo's, a cosy and authentic Italian restaurant in Newcastle. Sev was very friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. Nikky prepared some delicious dishes for us, such as meatballs, Italian sausage with mash, and cheesecake. Everything was cooked to perfection and had amazing flavours. Jake was also very helpful and courteous, bringing us our drinks and food promptly. We especially enjoyed the blood orange gin with sorbet, a refreshing and delightful treat. I highly recommend Vincenzo's to anyone looking for a great Italian dining experience in Newcastle. Thank you Sev, Nikky, and Jake for making our night special!
