We dined as a couple for a special Anniversary treat on 23rd Nov. We'd been meaning to try out Artis for quite a while and heard great reports. We were not disappointed! We opted for the 7 Course Tasting Menu and booked this in advance online.

Upon arrival we were greeted by a very welcoming, very well presented young lady called Emilie. She introduced herself as our server for the evening which we thought was a lovely personal touch. We were shown our table and everything was explained to us very well.

The setting, decor and furnishings are perfect. Such a lovely environment. We immediately felt this was going to be a special experience.

As the courses arrived we both smiled from ear to ear. Absolutely beautiful presentation & attention to detail. Everything tasted fabulous. Clearly an extremely passionate Chef and a team that care tremendously about what leaves their kitchen. My pictures should do the talking.

On our next visit I imagine we'll pair in the Wine Tasting as the couple beside us opted for this and it seemed to enhance their experience even further with every wine explained in detail as it's poured to match each course.

We can't wait to go back. And Emilie definitely deserves massive praise on her customer service and professionalism throughout, it really didn't go unnoticed. Obviously well trained - she's a credit to the...

Decor/atmosphere very nice, service really good and attentive (other than opening the wine bottle before checking it was the right one- it wasn’t). Wine list is pretty limited (no red or white burgundy?) and at the upper end: punchy mark ups for the bottles: looking at an £80 mark up from bottle shop prices for the chateau Musar- which is London prices without the london staff/rates/rent costs. Food a little patchy: amuse buche lovely, rump steak very good and perfectly cooked but the croquette was a bit sloppy, the mash not enough salt or butter, the fried onion humus- tasted of store bought fairly grainy humus topped with supermarket fried onion sprinkles. The Jaffa cake dessert was the star: great citrus hit from the calamansi cutting through the chocolate/hazelnut ganache. No expresso machine for a post dinner Coffee. Overall it is aiming for a fine dining experience but other than the price which is squarely in fine dining territory misses the mark for food...

After seeing and hearing so much about the artis It was about time I came over to the restaurant, both me and my mum where greated by very pleasant front of house lady who brought us to our seat , very warm and friendly atmosphere in the restaurant .

Amusbouche was great and the bread a delight with the home-made whipped butter. We ordered the mushrooms risotto and mallard to start both exceptional , then the mains pheasant and John dory wow what a treat the pheasant with the side dish lentils and confit meat was a nice touch and the plating and attention to detail top class.

Exceptional food , great variety on the menu , with very attentive front of house staff who explained each dish exceptional well which is a credit to the buisness.

Will definitely recommend...

My wife and I have just had the tasting menu. The food was delicious and I think was very good value for money. Everything, apart from the over cooked scallop and gloopy gazpacho ( it should have been more liquid) was delicious. I cannot say the same for the wine flight. Apart from the rose and the last wine it was very poor. We changed the Bordeaux for Pinot Noir. This was a better match for the pork. The wine was very expensive and did not go with the food. It's the first time I have had a wine flight that I have not liked. It was a real disappointment. I am sure a £110 bottle of something else would have been much better

We were in Derry for a day trip with my husband and came across Artis by a happy accident, just when we thought we might not have a nice meal that day. We didn't have a reservation, but they managed to get us in for 3 course lunch menu. Everything was absolutely fantastic and we really enjoyed every single bit. This was the best part from our wedding anniversary celebration. Big thank you to Dean and the girl (I don't remember the name) that were there-what an amazing service you provide. We will be definitely back, next time for full tasting menu!
