Mitre is definitely my absolute favourite place to get coffee in Norwich - the atmosphere is lovely for one, with them playing jazzy, mellow songs that suit the minimal vibe of the interior perfectly. I love the old pub aesthetic on the outside, contrasted by the modernity inside.
As well as this, every single drink i've had here tastes amazing. The beans are great, the milk is frothed nicely and both the caffeinated and decaf taste delicious with a slight variation between the two. Whether flat white, latte, cappuccino, or hot chocolate, i've never had a bad drink, and not to mention that they are always perfect drinking temperature!
They are sustainable, use huskup and even support local charities and organisations. They even have a shower that you can use if you need - going above and beyond at each and every stop.
I haven't used them, but the coworking spaces look great too.
This is my spot of choice for not only coffee, but also hanging out, meeting with a friend, or wanting to do some work in a nice environment.

Read moreI have been to the Mitre a couple of times since it was refurbished as a new cafe, though not previously. There are an excellent range of meals here, the food is fresh, delicious and superbly presented, the cakes here are very tasty as well, also thank you for the free Lotus biscuit that came with my cup of tea! The staff here are really friendly and welcoming and there is a real community feel in this place. I would also warmly welcome and commend the work being done by the Mitre in partnership with St Thomas Church to help refugees and some of the most vulnerable people in society, furthermore, I think the offer of customers to pay, for example, for an extra coffee, so that for people of whom money is "tight" do not have to use their own money, demonstrates the inclusive nature of this cafe as a sanctuary for all and not merely just a business. I am very pleased to have this cafe close by and I very much hope it...
Read moreA 45 minute wait for breakfast for 2 with 2 slices of toast. It still didn't come out together with the tomato being raw poached egg was too cooked. Side of 2 slices of toast being white and not grilled and without butter . After a five minute wait for the 2nd breakfast informed that we would haveto wait some more, left without eating breakfast as we had totally lost our appetite seeing what had been served to us. It lacked any sort of professionalism in kitchen or in the service. End result £25 for 2 coffees and 2 fruit juices and a trip somewhere else for breakfast. The worst breakfast in Norwich! Good luck to anyone with any knowledge of food enjoying this establishment. Also anyone who's eaten here since the 15th of July should check their receipt as we were charged 20% vat on everything while it should be 5% on everything but alcohol . Let's hope this is an...
