Normally excellent however not on Sat 24/6/17. The bar staff appeared to be dissolving responsibility for spotting who's next/serving people in order by just shouting 'who's next'? You can see where this is going. It started off ok. I pointed to the person next, did the same again, then it was me. Random person who'd been there 2 mins shouted up and was promptly served! I tried again and the next random person who has just walked up was promptly served! I'm not a small mouse and it was clear I was asking to be served. I grabbed my bag and my wife and we left. I've frequently and openly praised this pub on FB as my fave in Norwich. It's different on a Fri & Sat night and gets people we never see in there going in. The staff need to take greater care. We've not been in since. Walked past it yesterday and again tonight. We're frequently the only people in there on a cold dark Sunday, Monday, Tuesday winter night. I'll try it again certainly when i'm ready. They're £80 worse off already from my loss of two visits. If the 'lazy who's next strategy continues - I'm out'. Read moreA must visit Norwich pub on St Benedict's. I've been visiting the plough regularly for a number of years now and it never disappoints. It's owned by a local brewery that serve their own superb beers, alongside a diverse array of spirits. Everything is reasonably priced too! Staff are always welcoming and professional. The pub itself is cosy and rustic inside, whilst sprawling and perfect for summer days out in the beer garden. During warmer months, the beer garden is the place to be, with both bench areas and a grassy section towards the back. When it's warm, and patrons are outside, the pub also puts on some of the best BBQ food you'll experience! 100% recommendation for anyone looking for a good...
