Fupburger — Restaurant in Norwich

Oh dear, what can i say. We went out on a Sunday evening for a simple, quick burger. After 40 minutes of waiting and my frustration levels rising fast, i decided to go into the kitchen where i was told they never received the ticket. I went to the bar to ask for my refund and explained why. The confused faces couldn't really work out what, why, where or even when. A distinctive smell of weed consumed the entire bar area. I don't really care about that kinda thing, but when it affects the work and the lack of ability to deal with YOUR paying public in a hospitality industry, then i would suggest there is possibly an issue that needs sorting. Nothing by the way of an apology, nor did we get a refund for the drinks because i was informed 'well thats a seperate business'!!!! The big lad (clearly a pal/hanger on) at the bar informed me i was missing out. So so many potential replies to that statement. Unfortunately, yet another memorable place to go in the city for all the wrong reasons. Zero care and zero customer services. Spoilt for choice these days with establishment's like these. It wasn't even busy in there. There was 1 other table behind us who had also clearly waited a long time. We left and went to McDonalds. We knew it would be rubbish, and it was. We did however get served, it was cheap and they were polite. What...

A bit of a mixed experience.

Ordered online. Came quick, hot, well-packed. The problem was we ordered 3 sets of fries - 1 spicy and 2 salted, instead we got it the other way around.

Burgers. Fantastic. The bun, the veggie and meat patties, the sauce, all fantastic.

Sides. We ordered halloumi fries to share and whilst the halloumi was delicious, the spiciness they put on top (the same stuff they put on the chips) isn't very pleasant. We tried 'skinning' the halloumi, to remove the spiciness, but with mixed and messy results.

Speaking of that spice, it was very peculiar, kind of like the dust from an empty packet of Chilli Heatwave Doritoes. Again, not very appealing, and when I dropped a chip laden with spice onto the floor, the bright radioactive-looking orangey-red Dorito dust stained my carpet. Also, all the boxes our food came in were covered with spicy orange hand prints, not very appealing

So yeah, certainly a lot to enjoy, they clearly know there Burgers, but definitely not a straight-forward experience. I never want to see that...

EDIT: I've eaten in at the Ten Bells a couple of times now and had their burgers, and I think they're the real deal. The bad delivery must've been a one off because eating them in the pub, they are excellent. Upgraded to 4 stars.

I had a takeaway through Uber Eats. The burger had the potential to be decent with nice bacon and cheese but unfortunately the patties were overcooked, it was too well done for my taste and the outside of the burgers were crunchy. I had the spicy fries and they were stale, and the temperature was not hot, just really bad.

Unfortunately, Uber Eats didn't take my complaint of the stale chips any further, which made an already troubled experience worse.

I could tell that the ingredients are good and perhaps this was a one off bad order, but I'd really have to consider carefully ordering again when spending the kind of money that's being asked for.
