KFC Nottingham - Milton Street — Restaurant in Nottingham

Horrendous, After a lovely Mothers Day afternoon with Acacia in town we nipped into KFC on Milton street in town around 4.15pm, we went upstairs sat down and then within a couple of minutes of sitting we were approached by two lads who didn't speak a word of English.

They placed a bus map down in front of me and started pointing at it and speaking hurriedly-still speaking not a word of English- but as if trying to find how to get somewhere. I tried to move the map and explain I don't understand what your saying and I don't know the area they were pointing at to them but they just kept barking on...

After what felt like forever but it was probably only about 2/3mins they left...taking with them MY MOBILE PHONE.

I noticed straight away (as I actually had my phone out in front of me to work out the bus times to get home- my car sadly broke down yesterday)

I asked the customers sat opposite us to call my phone whilst a gentleman who was sat eating with his son jumped up to run after them when he heard they'd stolen my phone. Sadly the lads had already gone.

The gentleman and other customers sat with my daughter whilst I went to speak to the manager as there is CCTV everywhere.

When the manager came out to me I told him that my phone had just been stolen upstairs.

Before I said anything else the manager asked " Were you approached by two Eastern European Lads?" yes I responded...shocked that he knew He then asked "Did they have some sort of map or bus timetable?" I responded "yes, Have you caught them already?" Taken aback as to how he already knew the details before i'd had chance to tell him them..? He then preceded to say that they have been doing it for ages, both in KFC and the Mcdonalds, they are already aware of it happening and he apologises.....

🤔They are aware of this happening yet they have no warning posters up? WTH The managers are sorry but the staff are not are letting customers know to be aware of this distraction scam that's happening on a daily basis in there premises?

To my FB/Google family and friends please be aware this is happening in our city centre. If anyone approaches you whilst you are sat eating or wherever please guard your...

One star. It's misleading. One star is really zero. Because you can't leave no stars. This place doesn't deserve any stars at all.

The place was filthy. I covered the table with napkins but the grime was still under there.

I opened my box of chicken and chips. There wasn't much in there but it took me a while to spot the chicken. One of my kids pointed it out to me. Have a look at the picture. It's the box before I touched anything in it.

The two kids meals were much better. I should have had a kids meal too. I would have been better off. They at least got a drum stick.

The corn was tasteless, soggy and cold. The beans were OK. The ice-cream had a plastic taste to it. They left it.

The drinks were 90% ice cubes.

The place smelled foul. I opened the toilet door, stepped back and closed it again. The stench was too much!

As I stood there, trying to get my breath, two boys ran out. They were heaving. One bent over, doubled up. It was overpowering!

I've come across some bad toilets over the years. I once found a toilet that was a hole in a concrete floor. It was in Egypt. The locals just aimed in the general direction of it. In that heat, it was bad. The toilet in KFC was like that.

The hairs in my nose were trying to tie themselves in knots! I don't know how they stay open. It can't be healthy. The place is a grotty dump.

The food is not what you come to expect from KFC.

Find a different KFC. I don't think that there's another one in the city centre. There's plenty of other places to eat though. I won't be going back inside this KFC again. It is a horrible place.

Usually very crowded and standard of this branch is below the average KFC in my opinion. The staff at the counter is usually very helpful and friendly and waiting times for orders are very short, however this branch seems to have poor management. A few issues annoy me in this branch and lead for me to conclude that there is poor managent or lack of interest in clients. Bins don't get emptied on time and garbage starts to pile up around the bins as people don't know where to leave their trash. 2.This branch is always crowded and the line at the counter can get long at certain peak times, which results in people lining up until outside of the shop. Waiting times are very short which is very nice, however the waiting area is claustrofobicly small and tables are too close to the waiting area. The management closes the larger first floor seating area quit early in the evening, resulting in too little seats for the amount of guests. To emphasize that they don't want you to eat in they will serve guests with a take away paper bag and fail to provide a tray although the guest has mentioned to eat in.

I hold management responsible for these issues and my experience with individual staff is that they are generally very friendly...
