So my hubby booked this place for my birthday. Which was for this Saturday. We were super excited to check this place out. Once we were seated and given the menu we doubled checked by asking the waitress if the Chicken and beef was halal. As when I messaged on Instagram they confirmed it was. The waitress went inside and asked the chef to then be told that unfortunately only the chicken was halal. This was a big disappointment as when we spoke to their insta page we made sure they had more halal options and not only chicken to make the trip worth it. Anyways as we were already seated we had no choice but to place an order with the options we had. We placed our order. The order took a while to arrive which was fine as we understood its the first weekend of opening. The waitress knowing that I was a little disappointed with the limited halal options asked after looking at our booking that we came for a birthday celebrations, apologised and said that she would like to make my evening memorable so will do something special for me. So I thought fair enough atleast their care about customer service. Anyways our food came a few dishes at a time and we started eating. Halfway through we decided to ask another waitress about the halal options. She went inside and came out telling us actually all the meat (chicken & beef ) is Halal. I asked her are you sure?? As that was not what I was told. She went back in and got confirmation from the sues chef and head chef and said yes its halal. Now you can imagine how disappointed we are at this point as we pretty much were towards the end of our meal. Also at this point just to confirm one of the main dishes we ordered didn't arrive. Anyways as we were here already we thought of just giving the beef bao buns a try. This again was another topic full of issues. One min we are told they have non in stock next min you see them coming out serving them to other customers? Anyways we then managed to order that. The table we were given unfortunately was right under the speakers so the noise level you can imagine. Wrong place to put speakers. The waiter that was serving us knew our whole disappointment of the evening. We saw I think management people walking around however no one came to our table but repeatedly went to selective tables to check on customers. At then end the waitress who apologised and said she will do something to make up for ruining my birthday evening didnt bother coming over to us again. We were given the bill. Paid and left. My birthday was on the 5th Oct. We decided to celebrate it late only because we really wanted to celebrate my day here. Can't complain the food was good besides the chicken satay which was very dry and didnt deel fresh at all. Unfortunately the overall evening didn't go well and we left unhappy. All staff should be made aware of dietry requirements, there should be no mixed information on a topic like this. The only good service i got was from the bar guy I think who makes the drinks can't remember his name but think it began with J, was nice to make me a drink that I requested from the alcoholic menu in a non alcoholic version which was not part of the menu. So thanks to him for your kind service.

Read moreA large group of us Went here over the weekend to celebrate a birthday and we were all so excited for it. It turned out to be a huge disappointment.
On arrival the place looked stunning but as we approached, the young girl with the long blonde hair who stands near the entrance didn’t greet us in a professional manner. She had a very moody look to her and she was quite cocky and arrogant when we said hello. She was too busy looking at her self in the reflection of the restaurant door, she was then busy texting on her phone and also seemed more interested in dealing with a group of what I could only presume was her close friends. Her attitude was shocking.
We arrived a few minutes before our pre booked time and was told the table wasn’t ready… we waited 20 minutes after our booking time to be seated. Our table was very very dark, the whole place was really. We Was expecting our drinks order to be taken straight away but it took us another 20 minutes to flag down a member of staff to actually order them. The drinks then took a while to be served to us, we eventually got them as we had to ask a waiter where they was. They was just sat on the bar for god knows how long. Food menu was very limited, we opted for a selection of small plates between us as the Instagram pictures looked amazing. It took a while for food to be served and when It finally did come to the table, each dish came out one by one they was all so bland, lacked flavour and was near enough cold the chicken satay was dry and tasted like it was pre cooked. Whilst sat at our table not one member of staff came over to check how things were ,this again is very unprofessional for a “high quality restaurant”. The only time staff came over was to say we had to leave the table as it was wanted for somebody else rushing us away. I felt quite uncomfortable with this service and customer care.
The toilets were lovely and very well lit. Probably the best place in the restaurant. I got chatting to another group of girls in there who all agreed that service was shocking and so slow. One of the girls said most the staff were close friends of the owners, including the dj and the lady on the door with the long blonde hair. She said she’d seen this girl all over one of the owners in multiple different places including billionz. This to me is disgusting and unprofessional. I also overheard a young man who is one of the owners stood in the dining area asking customers to leave good reviews of this place to get its ratings up. This goes to show that most the positive reviews on here are that of the owners/staff/family/friends/influencers and not that of the honest paying general public.
The owners have clearly hired friends/relations/ partners who have no previous experience is hospitality rather than put the money into more professional experienced individuals. I’ve heard nothing but negative things regarding the owners of this place who are clearly unorganised and don’t have relevant knowledge of running a restaurant.
This place is no where near the high end restaurant quality it states to be. I can say I will not be going here again.
It’s opened too soon, It needs to be closed so that the correct management and staff can be arranged and trained to a better and more...
Read moreDefinitely not worth the money. The first not so good sign was when we booked for 3 people and wanted to add someone else on. I rang, sent an email to the address listed when you ring up (as you cannot get through to anyone), messaged on Facebook, and sent 2 emails to a different email address found on Instagram. Eventually I got a reply the day before we had the booking saying they were fully booked for Saturday and couldn’t add anyone onto the table. My friend who booked the table then got an email saying they had overbooked for Saturday, and were asking anyone that could do change their reservation date. We thought we’d chance it and turn up with 4 of us anyway and see what happened. Turns out 4 people wasn’t an issue as it was a 4 person table anyway. And the restaurant was pretty empty when we arrived, more tables not filled than were. Yet they said they were overbooked? Very strange. Anyway, the venue is lovely, well decorated, nice feel, etc. However not much atmosphere due to being nearly empty, and a lot of staff standing around in groups not really appearing to do much. Don’t get me wrong the service was great, couldn’t complain. However it was almost too overly nice, as if they’d been told to kick it up a gear and they did this so much it came across as fake. Not genuine/chatty. It’s as though they are trying to mimic Tattu, very similar decor and menu concept. However food is no where near as good. Food was ok, but not much flavour at all and felt like something that had just been taken out of the freezer and made to look pretty and presentable. It looked great on pictures, however pretty bland. We also asked for the service charge to be removed as we did not feel over £65 each was anywhere near deserved for what food we had. I paid £8 for some truffle broccoli which would’ve had more flavour if I cooked it myself at home. And when the receipt came the noodles cost £1 more than what was on the actual menu. Yes it’s only £1, however most wouldn’t notice this and imagine how much is made throughout the day from this. Also just another thing that let the place down.
Can see they are aiming for a high end feel and trying very hard, however there are plenty of other places in Nottingham that are far better, and you get what you pay for. It looks great and is totally Instagram worthy if that’s what you want, but not great food and...
