I recently visited this charming café in Oxford that truly stood out in terms of politeness, performance, and execution. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere. The staff were exceptionally polite, going out of their way to ensure every guest felt comfortable and valued.

Speaking of the food, the quality was outstanding. Each dish was prepared with care and attention to detail, reflecting the café’s commitment to excellence. The presentation was beautiful, and the flavors were perfectly balanced. It was clear that the chefs took pride in their craft, as every bite was a testament to their skill and dedication.

Overall, The Spires not only excelled in politeness but also demonstrated remarkable performance and execution in every aspect. It was a delightful experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-notch café experience in the city.

Their Tiramisu was...

It's sad, but at the beginning we waited 45 minutes for coffee and 55 minutes for food. On my dish was a black hair short male. I am sorry to write this because the service itself was nice and I did not want to put them in front of the owner in the wrong light, but if the owner asked me for details, I have to give them. The food was unfortunately not tasty, scrambled eggs has a strange smell, and yet hard the team is a dish, you throw the sal-salt pepper eggs stir and you're done. Here, scrambled eggs are probably made from a ready-made egg or mixed with something. The smell is disgusting. The salmon next door was kind of fresh but very poor quality. I was well-imaged to this place because the place itself was pleasant, but unfortunately in breakfast the most important thing is the food. The other items ordered were...

I attended the Spires Cafe with some friends for one of their birthday's. We sat down just after 12, and ordered coffee and breakfasts/lunch. We did not eat, or even recieve our drinks until 14:15. After an hour and a half of waiting for our food and drinks, we asked the staff about an update. They said 'just coming' for the next 45 minutes. The food and drinks only arrived when we threatened to leave and had begun to put on our coats. When the food eventually arrived, they had forgotten one of our orders, and so we waited for another 5 minutes. I am not normally one to write reviews, but the experience was awful. We had to cancel our subsequent plans. The only redeeming feature was that one of the waitstaff (Charlotte) was lovely.

I will never go back, and would recommend that you don't attend in the...

I love this cafe. The staff are so incredibly friendly. Always smiling and gentle and happy to help. You can refill your water in glasses and a tap stand in the cafe. Plenty of seating and beautiful interior that feels warm and cosy yet modern. Plugs in the wall for charging phones, laptops etc. so a great place to work. They don't pressure you to leave after you finish your drink or meal, you can just sit and enjoy the space. Quiet inside and peaceful - I also love the music they play in the background. The food is AMAZING!! I ordered the stuffed aubergine last time and wow, the portion size was SO generous and it tasted delicious! I ended up taking half of it away with me in a takeaway box. Their hot chocolate is also the best in Oxford (yes, it's as good as Knoops!) Can't recommend enough - thank you Spires ❤️

To be very honest, I'd overlooked this place previously as it has a very unassuming shop front and is located in Gloucester Green, where there is often a bustling food market. We'd exhausted a lot of other brunch places in Oxford already and was looking for something new - the photos on Google reviews looked amazing so we went for it. It did not disappoint at all! The prices are very reasonable, the portions fantastic and staff/service friendly and helpful. You pay at the bar, and they do good quality coffee. The beans I was very impressed with as they clearly make their own rather than from a tin, and they were my favourite part of the dish. Definitely coming back!

Really kind and chill place. Not too loud when we went during lunch time! There was 2 of us in wheelchairs and even though there wasn’t many tables, the staff offered to make us up a table at the front so we could sit! however a lovely other table moved for us so we could sit which was equally nice!! the space was really open at the front with high ceilings, so wasnt too loud or cramped which really helped the atmosphere and is really refreshing in a place so central in Oxford. The front entrance is step free, with 2 doors that open towards you on entry. there are many options on the menu, all fresh, reasonably priced and tasty. We will definitely be coming back :)
