The overall experience was awful. Ordered starters only to get a main at the same time but that main was wrong, asked for it to be returned as it was incorrect anyway. When it came to mains we waited over an hour. The main 5 chicken tenders is what is photographed and I mean it says it all.. after complaining the manager came over and just asked for the chicken to be put into a napkin and taken back to the kitchen, this is where it went even worse, we ordered 5 and got given 3 fresh ones back in a napkin… everything else our group ordered was dry and overpriced, when it came to paying the bill we were offered a £10 gift card which couldn’t be used on this occasion it had to be for another visit, explained there wouldn’t be another visit and the bill was revised again only to be given a small discount on the incorrect meal, I then went onto explain to another manager how this would’ve been easier if you took the whole plate as to which then the whole meal was refunded. Overall very miserable experience. Do not recommend.

Let’s start with the food, I had the Fry’s big feast! Chargrilled 5oz sirloin, marinated fajita chicken breast, half a rack of ribs in a smoky BBQ sauce, BBQ chicken wings, house fries, grilled mushroom, grilled tomato, corn ribs, mac & cheese and crispy onion rings and don’t forget the peppercorn sauce! .. it was all cooked perfectly and the Smokey BBQ sauce was great but the peppercorn sauce was truly delicious!! Tbh I don’t eat many chips I was sooo full… so no problem with the food, the only thing is …. We had to wait 1 hr for the food to come out .. and the plates weren’t even hot, obviously we complained and had a free beer plus a percentage off the bill… I would go again just to see if the wait was just a one off because the food was great !!

Came for my birthday, arrived earlier than reservation and was able to be seated early as it wasn’t busy. After order was taken, we had a 30 minute wait for the potato skin appetiser. Then after 20 minutes the staff came over and attempt to give the same appetisers again.. Then after an another 40 minute wait, finally the mains come out. The only hot item on either plate were the fries. All be it that I ordered the largest item on the menu to sample out as much as I could, I don’t think I can justify another meal here at the cost of £70 for 1 appetiser, 2 mains and 2 refillable drinks. As well as 2.5 hours of my time. It’s disappointing, but I hope the restaurant can recover as it’s a prime location and it would be nice for them to do well.

Overall, It’s OK - some good points and some very bad. Not the rating they are aiming for I’m sure but they aren’t anywhere near where I assume they aspire to be. First the good bits. It’s new, clean and bright. Don't like the plastic plants but that’s a personal preference. Music is quite loud in there too but we were out for a fun evening with friends so that didn’t bother me. The young waiting staff are great but to be honest, they had to be. They got on with things with a cheery disposition and really did their best. Better than more senior staff for sure. Keep it up guys! The food itself is OK. Pretty standard tex mex, burgers and steaks etc. Now for the bad bit. We got our starters but had to wait 90 minutes for our mains. Waiting staff came to tell us the food would be late as they’d had a part of 25. Not unusual on a Saturday I’d have thought. We’d been there 90 mins already and were getting hungry as we’d finished the starters an hour before. It wasn’t full and this is not a complex menu. We’d also asked them to get going with our mains when we we half way through our starters as they had asked us if we wanted them to (which is an odd thing to be asked in the first place). Then the female manageress came over to repeat the same line about the delay 10 mins later and frankly she’s just rude. We hadn’t complained. She just came over and started arguing and gave us different delay times ranging from another 10 mins to another 45. She told us it was a busy Saturday night and that most people like to talk to each other not be rushed. We were actually having a great time and deep in conversation when she interrupted us as we haven’t caught up in ages. Rule one, don’t argue with customers when they’ve been in your restaurant for 100 mins and have to wait over an hour between starter and main course. Just apologise like your junior staff were, maybe offer a discount. When our food did finally arrive, it came one dish at a time; in fact half a dish at a time - we were only a party of four and one fajita skillet with no sauces or wraps isn’t much use to anyone. It was nice enough. No complaints about the food itself. After we finished our mains though, they didn’t even ask if we wanted dessert. Just brought us the bill. I had high hopes for Frys and I hope you make a go of it but you need more kitchen staff, better management, training and possibly a better booking system, but looking at other reviews I don’t think this was an isolated incident simply due to a large party. Many other customers around us were having the same experience. In my opinion, more kitchen staff and less attitude would be a good starting point. Might pop back to try breakfast when I next have a spare 4 hours to waste but I’d probably give it a miss on the weekend evenings until the reviews improve...

First time visit for a Birthday breakfast today, group of 3, ordered pancakes and two of the grilled breakfasts. Unfortunately the food was disappointing. Really poor quality products. The sausage patty was the worst thing we’ve ever tasted. Bacon greasy as heck. Pancakes were sodden and the chicken it came with was dry, tasted like something you’d expect at McDonald’s.

Chatted with the manager to give feedback, who dealt with it professionally to be fair. Defended the products saying nobody else has feedback this, well the reviews say different. Said it’s not an English Breakfast, it’s an American style menu hence the patty and streaky bacon. That’s fair enough but the quality of the product needs improving drastically. It’s a shame as the place will soon get a really bad reputation, it has the makings of being a wonderful place, perfect location, good clean modern environment but unless they sort of the quality of the food forget it.

The only saving grace was it was on half price offer, otherwise I’d have refused to pay for the...
