Always walked past here but my first time trying their pasty (usually I go to Malcolm Barnecutt or others). It's a pasty shop that's been opened since 1935. Got a giant pasty and I was surprised how good it was. The pastry has salt on it so can be salty to others (mine had the right amount) and I felt it help with the taste. The meat and veg ratio was good. It just felt like a good Devonshire pasty! And I got full. Its was nice and hot for the cold weather and the price felt right

This place is a memory from my childhood and did not disappoint. The pasty was hot, tasty and exactly as remembered, good pricing too. Attended with orders to bring several back north and was a little disappointed that there was only a few ready to go, always remembered trays and trays in the big ovens. Maybe a pre order and collect service is an idea, because these are top notch and a must buy every visit to Plymouth 👍

Love how basic this place was, there was a pasty oven and a till, what more do you need to sell pasties. The glutton I am i opted for the giant pasty at £4.60, hot price, but cheaper if you go cold. Couldn’t fault the pasty, seasoning was spot on with a good taste of pepper and salt, plenty of filling. Five in you won’t be disappointed.

Terrible Experience – Wouldn’t Recommend

Visited Ivor Dewdney Pasties Ltd in Plymouth and had a very disappointing experience. The staff member serving us was incredibly rude and seemed more interested in chatting with a colleague than helping paying customers. She didn't even make eye contact, just continued her conversation while taking the pasty out of the oven, and handed it over without any acknowledgment — shaking the bag in our direction as if we were an inconvenience.

As for the pasty itself, it was soggy and mushy — really unappetizing. We each had one bite and threw it in the bin. Ended up going to Friary Mill instead, where the service was miles better and the food actually tasted good.

Won’t be...

Would not recommend, order went too the wrong address 30 mins away due too online error, instead of allowing us too pick it up or redeliver, delivery company threw it away. Owner dosent care dpd dosent care nobody does and the t&cs too this aren't online so be warned you'll be out of pocket if its delivered wrong.

Even asked for another delivery and would they help out and go half's too be told it happens all the time so no!! £40 something gone and no help on either side.. be warned..
