What an amazing room! We headed along to play Plymouth's newest escape room and it's blown the nearby rooms out the water! We'd heard a lot about Pudding Lane at its previous home and were excited when we heard it was coming to Plymouth.
The venue is great, central in Plymouth on the high street near Boots and McDonalds. It's got 2 car parks (one behind and then Colin Campbell 4 mins away) as well as being right by all the bus stops and 10-15 mins walk from Plymouth train station. We were welcome in to the funky venue and given our briefing of being time agents, being sent back to London 1666 to find out who started the Great Fire of London!
The room is stunning, it feels so real. The brick walls, wooden shop fronts, even the stone cobbled floor are insanely good! You get thrown into London, even with the smoke in the room feels like the fire is raging close to you. Great puzzles, lots of unique physical puzzles not just padlocks everywhere. The puzzles were clever, so fun to figure out and play with and the right amount of clues. We got out in 58 minutes and it was well spent, with non-stop puzzles.
Having playing most of Plymouth's rooms (and nearly 100 around the country), I can safely say Pudding Lane is the best in the area and you will not regret stepping into the room! James and Claire's passion will ensure you have a great time from start to finish and we can't wait to see...

We were super eager to try out Plymouthâs newest escape room when we first heard about it, and to say we were amazed is doing it an injustice.
The game itself was so much fun. Weâve done ~60 rooms now, and it takes a lot to impress us, and Cronologic certainly did. This game has easily secured a slot in our top five rooms of all time. And since Pudding Lane is the venueâs debut, we have high hopes for their future experiences (or past experiences given the time travel theming)!
Our Games Host, James, was equally brilliant. Whilst we didnât need any hints during our time in the room, he was clearly watching us throughout to make sure we were on the right track and having a good time. His love for escape rooms really shone through; itâs clearly a game made by enthusiasts. The immense amount of work he and the other owner Claire have put into building the room didnât go unnoticed from us. The set design is truly fantastic, from the cobbles under our feet to the authentic brickwork in the walls - everything felt nice to touch and feel, something that James seems especially proud of. We certainly appreciated the level of attention to detail in the set design, and this goes for the whole game. You feel it from the moment you enter the venue to the moment you leave!
Thank you for an awesome hour and we look forward to returning when your next experience...

I visited this escape room this evening and I can honestly say - itâs the best one Iâve ever done. From the moment we walked in, everything was top-notch: the atmosphere, the attention to detail, and the incredibly friendly and enthusiastic staff who clearly love what they do.
The room design was incredibly immersive - it felt like stepping into a movie set. Every puzzle was clever, original, and satisfying to solve. It struck the perfect balance between challenging and fun, with no frustrating dead ends or logic leaps. You can tell a lot of thought and creativity went into crafting this experience.
What really stood out was the flawless storytelling and seamless integration of puzzles into the theme. Every clue made sense in the world we were in, which made the experience feel that much more real and engaging. The tech used was super impressive and added an exciting layer of surprise.
If youâre even thinking about doing an escape room - I highly...
