The options for vegan cake are good. The only letdown is a few members of staff who think by constantly talking to other members of staff whilst serving customers and not acknowledging customers whilst handing over their order. I have noticed this a lot and what it is. They tend to ask what you would like, again whilst talking to members of staff nonstop, you go then and wait at the other end for your order, they are still chatting away. They give you your order whilst still talking away. The customer says thank you, with no acknowledging customers with your welcome. Instead, they are all constantly chatting away like we are not there. Rather rude and very unprofessional. IF I was a mystery shopper, they would have failed miserably. This is my second visit to this lovely Café in Palmerston Road, Southsea. I decided on Carrot Cake and Spiced Chai this time. The Chai was perfect with a sprinkle of Cinnamon on top and the cake was full of flavour , nuts, carrot & raisins with a lovely cream cheese topping. On my previous I had a Turmeric Latte, which I would recommend. There is a huge variety of cakes, slices, cossaints, muffins and biscuits on offer. As well as a fabulous range of Coffees, teas and cold drinks for all tastes. Look out for the daily cake and drinks specials, currently we're in October so there are Halloween Muffins and Pumpkin Spiced special coffees. Lovely quality coffee and great atmosphere inside. The place is decorated very warmly and there’s plenty of seating, though does get busy. Great option of food and desserts, wide drinks selection also. Service was a bit slow, though I visited at a busy time and the staff clearly put care into the quality and making of the drinks. Also would mention that the Welsh cakes are not too bad, if you liked them here I would suggest trying them elsewhere for an even better experience!
