Panero Lounge — Restaurant in Portsmouth

Well me & my wife & our Puppy 🐶 , went for the First time to day here, we have been before separatly, with friends, but not together, especially as beforehand we had only gone for a coffee ☕ of a tea 🍵, anyway today we brought Two pots of Tea & my wife had a Gluten free tuna sandwich & i had a double portion of frys/chips 🍟. I went to WC , but when i returned to my wife & puppy that were sat outside on the veranda at the front, our puppy had been given by a lady server a "Pup Cup" ( what a lovely touch, so thank you to her & the rest of the staff here). The restaurant had a bar on the ground level & kitchen & on the First floor there is a large area with comfortable seats & toilets. Really clean, tidy and dust free, a really love place to come for a spot of tea, coffee, food or cake, the food we had was good quality for what we ordered, a little expensive, but very clean & well prepared and presented, a massive Gluten Free Menu as well as other food options. Great for all the family etc. Will certainly recommend. Especialy for the pup cup & the text in the gentleman WC Very nicely decorated throughout, i was so surprised how lovely and light the pub was as most pubs like the lord parminston (weatherspoons) is dirty and dark looking with lots of dark tacky areas, this one is bright cheerful & with very friendly, welcoming staff. We all had a enjoyable time especially our puppy 🐶 who Loved her First Time Pup Cup....

#Vegan Food and #DogFriendly - We're off to a great start.

Food Okay so all but one of the group are vegan. This place had a fantastic vegan menu not just the token contribution that most places offer but a vegan menu with the same or similar items to normal menu just "veganised". This makes such a difference because it means you actually have a choice.

Service We arrived around 930 on a Friday morning and the service was excellent the place wasn't too busy and we had a good choice of seating. Once we decided what we were ordering we went to the bar to order it and the person taking the order was extremely accommodating and helpful by that I mean suggesting options on the menu and making sure everything was ordered.

Atmosphere So the interior decor might not be to everyone's taste but we loved it it was extremely interesting to look at. It was very relaxing and we managed to spend almost 2 hours there chatting eating drinking et cetera.

Dog Friendly Some places say they are dog friendly but what they mean is they don't mind dogs sitting outside this place is happy for dogs to come inside as long as they are well-behaved and don't go upstairs this made all the difference for us.

This place was great so I've added it to my list of vegan Cafes and restaurants.

I'm pretty sure I'll end up going here again.

Across from a coffee place in a small shopping district, the outside of Panero might not stand out but the inside is so eclectically designed.

There is a tapa like menu! I am a huge fan of ordering small sample plates and this place delivers. I had falafels which were perfect, papas fritas that had the best sauce, and hummus that I loved. The bread was warm and crunchy. The food I had here was really good all the times I’ve went. I’ve also had iced coffee here which was delicious - I just drank it too fast and forgot to photograph it.

Everyone is super friendly and helpful here! Great attitudes and fast service. I’ve been here a couple times and never had any issues with the service. I had a friend whose drink wasn’t too great and the waitress remade it in a heartbeat. Great service.

The toilets are on the second floor if anyone needs. And if you’re taking a table downstairs, stay away from the table next to the staff door as it slams shut. Honestly, they might want to get rid of the table eventually because it’s hard to enjoy your meal with a door slamming every few minutes.

They have a separate vegan and gluten-free menu! I’m in love.
