Galbi Korean BBQ restaurant — Restaurant in Portsmouth

We ordered spicy squid and assorted skewers from the tapas menu and spicy pork belly and short rib for the grill. Others on the table ordered similar dishes.

We were a table of 9 and it was a Saturday night. However, there were a couple of free tables so it wasn't packed.

It was over an hour before the first tapas dishes came out. All food came out at different times so half of the table was left starving whilst the others had received 2-3 of their dishes. Bizarrely the raw meat for the grill took about an hour and a half to arrive and the assorted skewers took 2 hours from ordering.

Yes, the majority of the food was very tasty- apart from 1 person's soup/noodle bowl (meat gristly), but the service let them down immensely. Even drinks were brought out in dribs and drabs. A real shame.

As we suggested, if certain things are likely to take 2 hours to prepare and send out, it would be worth letting customers know. As mentioned above, it was bizarre that it took so long for raw meat to be put on a plate and brought to table and 2 hours for small bits of squid and meat to be skewered, grilled and brought to the table.

Maybe it would be worth having more chefs in the kitchen...

Absolutely rude and terrible service at this restaurant. Booked a table for 5, travelled all the way from Winchester as we had had such a lovely experience here previously.

We arrived the same time as another group, they had booked for 4 people but turned up wanting a table for 5 and helped themselves to our table. The staff then challenged them that they had booked for 4, and let them stay in our table and left us stood there with nowhere to sit.

They then tried to fashion us a table which was a total mess and didn’t work for the 5 of us as nobody could talk to anyone. They were totally rude and unhelpful and did not care at all. They had no desire to tell the other table to move.

The service at this restaurant from the ladies working there tonight was absolutely shocking. We ate here previously and a young man served us and he was so lovely with a wonderful attitude and really helpful. Completely terrible experience for a family meal and we will not be back and will tell our friends not to...

We were a party of 9 booked in for Saturday night. We all tried different elements of the menu from tapas, hot pot to table BBQ.

Some elements of my food was nice (tapas). However, the beef soup left me to encounter alot of gristle. It was chewy, rubbery, flavorless, and altogether unpleasant it was like chewing on a gorilla's finger.

We ordered 3 lots of assorted skewers which took over an hour to arrive. (Very dissatisfied)

Service was awful. Food came out at different times. For example tapas came out quickly but the raw meat for the table BBQ took an hour from when the tapas arrived. What were they doing.... Hunting the cow across Albert road?!?

Seating was tight and the chairs you sank into. Should of asked for a booster seat.

The toilet (only the one) was dated and tight.

I can say I won't be coming again and that's the same feeling of the other 8...
