Kingfisher — Restaurant in Portsmouth

We ordered via uber and chose pick up whilst we were in the restaurant. Throughout our wait the cook was slamming everything around in the kitchen. When it went 15 mins past our pick up time (35 mins) I asked how long our food would be, we could see our fish was cooked sat in a box but nothing else. He said to himself that he forgot to start cooking the rest. We had spent £95 on this order. We then waited an additional 35 mins during that time we had to tell him to put our sausages on as he forgot. 2 other drivers and another customer came in during this time and couldn’t believe how the cook was acting. He continued to throw stuff around muttering to himself but would not tell us what was going on with the order when we repeatedly asked him. He was half packing bits and leaving chips in the box open for ages. In the end my husband ended up packing everything in the bag as the cook was frantic walking back and forward. We have never experienced service like this before here and would like to speak with the manager about our experience. By the time got the food home most of it was cold and soggy. The whole experience and the ridiculous amount of time we were left waiting (with children) left us unable to eat the food. We believe the cook should not have been in work today. If he was to have communicated with us and apologised then this review would have been different but he didn’t speak to us and was just slamming things around and when packing our food he was throwing things in the boxes not caring at all. Visited for the 1st time with my daughter after the theatre. As I am vegan, there was nothing on the menu I could eat except for chips, this is fine for me! However as we wanted to eat in, I was told I was not allowed to order just chips if eating in and had to order a meal. I explained that I was a vegan and there was nothing on the menu, except chips that I could eat. "You have to order a meal", I was told again. I asked if I could order some take away chips, and the member of stuff muttered as he walked off "You can't have take away chips." I asked what I could eat and was ignored. Very angry as visiting this place spoilt what was a lovely afternoon out to the theatre with my daughter. I have been going to the kingfisher since I was very young. I decided to go the other day for the first time in a while. We placed our order for a family of 4 and when we got home half of the order was missing. We went back and asked for the food to be replaced as their mistake meant that 2 of my family members had no food and the other 2 did, so we could not eat together as a family. They refused to replace the order but would give our money back. I can't understand why they were willing to give us a refund, which would be a bigger expense to them, rather than cook us new food?
