First off, glad we did not take other peoples 1 stars detour us from this awsome establishment!! Everyones taste buds and judgments are different and everyones entitled to their own opinions. That being said our experience was amazing, from greeted upon entry too the friendly man behind the counter who offered to show us a type of fish we were not familiar with! The place was small and quiet with nice tunes and most importantly beyond clean!! The fish and chipz was beyond delicious and definitely in the affordable catagory !! With all that tied into the equation on our amazing experience, it was the sign under the menu that said "made to order" that sealed the deal for us to choose this spot. (We spotted a fish and chipz spots 5 mins up the street and had what appeared to be plenty of things sitting in hot cases to be served...) We would definitely recommend this spot to anyone who is considereing fish and chipz (or anything probably) but thats all we were craving on an affordable level. Awsome staff and cleanslyness. Delicious food and friendly service! Best fish & chips in the area (and there's loads to choose from in Southsea!) I had regular cod & chips which was easily enough for an adult. The fish was tasty. The batter was crispy, and the chips were light and non-greasy. This is a take away only establishment but there are stools if you want to sit by the window and eat out of the carton. You can enjoy your food and watch the folks of Albert Rd going about their business. Be warned this is a cash only place but there's an ATM just...

Not the best. The fish was nice being freshly cooked and good size with a nice crisp batter but the chips were not great. Not proper chip shop chips but frozen catering chips and not fully cooked being still hard in the middle. Also the most expensive fish and chips I have ever bought (and far from the best) at £13.40 (cash only) for small cod small chips and mushy peas.
