STEKI Authenic Greek Cuisine — Restaurant in Portsmouth

Ordered this evening via Uber. One of the gyros’ we received had the wrong meat (pork instead of chicken), we were missing aubergine dip from the wraps, our side of halloumi was missing and as per picture the wraps themselves were sparse and very disappointing! We contacted the restaurant who blamed their Wi-Fi (!!) for the incorrect order… we said we would come and collect the correct wrap and missing halloumi dish. When we got to the restaurant, the front of house guy (old tall guy with white hair) went to the kitchen to speak to the chef and upon asking for our food from the kitchen called my friend an expletive (Malaka) in Greek to them. He was so angry that he walked out and I informed the old guy why we were leaving, that he had just insulted my friend and that they were very rude. They are totally ignorant if they think they can swear about a customer in Greek (and in earshot) and then assume they don’t understand the language. Will not be returning. Avoid...

This is one of those restaurants you want to come back to again and again. Cozy atmosphere, pleasant music, soft lighting — everything creates the perfect setting for relaxation and unhurried conversations. You can really feel that the guests are cared for here.

The food is absolutely outstanding! Everything is delicious, beautifully presented, and truly finger-licking good. I try something new every time, and each dish is a delight. It’s clear that the ingredients are fresh and the kitchen is top-notch.

The staff is always a pleasure — polite, friendly, and attentive to every detail. It’s so nice to be greeted with a smile and served with genuine care.

I had the pleasure of dining at this lovely Greek restaurant last night, and it was an unforgettable experience! The food was absolutely delicious—I was so hungry and blown away by the taste that I forgot to take a photo, which is very unlike me.

The service was impeccable; the waitresses greeted us with warm smiles and were incredibly hospitable throughout the evening. They truly made us feel welcome.

As for the food, it was divine! All the mezes were delightful, but the grilled sea bream stole the show. It was perfectly cooked and they were so kind to carve . The aubergine meze and dolmadakia were also exceptional—full of rich, authentic flavors that reminded me of home (I’m Turkish, so I know great Mediterranean food when I taste it!).
