The ovens are hot, the pizzas are hotter, and the prosecco disappears faster than your willpower on a Friday night. We arrived as a noble party of eight, armed with enthusiasm, hunger, and a thirst that only bubbles could cure.

Our evening began with high hopes and two bottles of prosecco, which tragically marked the beginning and end of the prosecco era. When informed they’d run out, we collectively mourned while graciously transitioning to wine — a downgrade only in sparkle, not spirit. The pizza? Outstanding. Crispy, generous, and unapologetically authentic. Every bite whispered sweet nothings in Italian, probably something about la dolce vita and slow carb comas.

Service was warm and welcoming. They even warned us the food might be slow — which it was — but in the same way a fine painting takes time. We waited, yes, but the payoff was slices so good they could heal family rifts.

As for the tomato and mozzarella salad… let's just say it had commitment issues. Four sad slices of tomato arranged like they were attending a mandatory team-building exercise. A minimalist dish for those who find Caprese emotionally overwhelming. But we digress. If you're after an evening of glorious pizza, laughable salads, and prosecco roulette, Panormus is your spiritual home. Just bring backup...

I thought they were very welcoming and allowed my dog to come in as well! The gentleman who was working the front of the house was very attentive and aware of everything going on around him and still had time to chat with me! We (dog and I) went to the back garden which was very pleasant and a nice surprise.

I ordered take out. The prices are reasonable and it’s great that they have Neapolitan/Sicilian style Arancini! Bonus was they had a unique calzone that was bolognese and mozzarella.

I ate the whole thing! it’s worth trying it yourself. It’s the kind of place you could easily go as your easy takeout or casual dine-in. Come as you are kind of place. Menu is small and be ready to season a bit more (I’m from the USA we salt...

Only discovered Panormus Pizzeria a few weeks ago, despite it being right on my doorstep! Made up for lost time by eating there 4-5x since.

Best pizza in Pompey by far - proper Italian fare made with extremely fresh ingredients and perfectly cooked crispy bases.

I've tried their BBQ chicken, pepperoni and bolognese pizzas. All were delicious but the pepperoni with optional hot honey added is my favourite (chefs kiss emoji).

Furthermore, the staff are all welcoming, friendly, smiley and attentive. I always like to support independent businesses when possible, and the kind nature of the staff encourages me to do so even more.

Eat there now - you won't regret it!

PS - Eat there now (repeating this...

The place style is simple, the menu has the essentials things you need to enjoy a good evening with your friends or family while eating good food. Pizzas are delicious and prepared like in Italy (apart from a couple "americanised" ones for the wider public). Arancine are really good as well. Prices average, but the price-quality ratio is much better than other pizzerias around Portsmouth. I can say I'm happy they opened and will go back here for sure when I want to eat pizza.
