Giacomo's Pizza & Spaghetti House — Restaurant in Preston

After being a regular customer of The Original Giacamos for years as one of the best Italian pizza takeaways in Preston I was horrified with the food delivered tonight. The garlic bread with cheese was literally like an oil slick, which was strange because there was hardly any cheese on it whatsoever. It was so greasy it was slipping out of my fingers. After eating half of it I looked at the box and it was like a river of fat running down the lid. I also ordered a house pepperoni pizza. Again this was very disappointing. It was cut into 6 slices with just ONE piece of pepperoni on each. So yep just six thin slices of meat on the whole pizza. I was going to order pepperoni and mushrooms, which is two toppings, but I thought no, I will order just pepperoni thinking this is just one topping so there should be plenty on it. How wrong was I. The pizza was also greasy and over cooked. My wife had a large donner kebab. When compared to Ziba it was pretty rubbish, the meat was dry and tasteless, and like eating cardboard. This takeaway has gone from hero to zero in my opinion and they desperately need a new chef. But I also know I friend of mine who applied to be a chef, who is actually a proper chef was offered just £7.00 an hour. That's not even minimum wage and illegal. So if you pay peanuts you get monkeys, and it's reflected in the food. I won't be buying any more food from Giacamos ever again. And I hope you take notice of my review and go elsewhere, like a few new ones now doing proper quality...

Flys in my burger and no refund!!!!!!! Restaurant commented that, "these things happen"... yes they do happen, if your quality control is non existent!!!

Me and my girlfriend ordered a takeaway from here last night and wow... awful service!!! I ordered a cheeseburger & chips and my girlfriend ordered a chicken, olives and capers dish. The food arrived and after eating half of my burger what I thought was carbon/ash fell from the edge of my burger, WRONG! It was a half cooked fly!!! I rang the restaurant and was told a driver would come by to collect the food order and give me a refund. After waiting a little over an hour for the driver to arrive he had only brought enough money to refund me for the burger. How is anybody to expect their partner to stomach eating their food after they've seen that the quality and standards of the kitchen it came from are obviously not above board! This is a disgusting service for the catering industry! I have reported them to the environmental health office and trading standards.

No one should have to have this happen...

Me and my partner ordered on Justeat tonight and we both ordered different types of steak. I also ordered Greek salad on the side and my fella ordered a bottle of peroni. Both the salad and the peroni were missing and we had two portions of roast potatoes which we didn't order. Luckily they were the only edible food. The steak was revolting and would be better for a pair of boots than a £33 meal. They were clearly oven cooked and way way over cooked. When we called the restaurant to ask about the missing food the man on the phone didn't apologise once and insisted that we received the salad and peroni even though we said multiple times that we were not given them. He was rude and in no way and decent level of customer service. I will not be ordering...
