A Culinary Gem in the Heart of Reading: An Unforgettable Lebanese Experience

Nestled gracefully over the serene river that flows through the bustling centre of Reading, this Lebanese restaurant is nothing short of a hidden treasure. From the moment you step inside, you are transported to the vibrant streets of Beirut, surrounded by the warm, inviting aromas of Mediterranean and Arabic cuisine. Every detail, from the elegant decor to the soothing Middle Eastern music, creates an atmosphere that is both luxurious and comforting.

The menu is a masterpiece, showcasing the rich and diverse flavours of Lebanon. Each dish is crafted with precision and love, using the freshest ingredients to deliver an authentic taste of the Mediterranean. The hummus is velvety smooth, the falafel perfectly crisp on the outside and tender on the inside, and the grilled meats are succulent and bursting with flavour. Don’t miss the mixed grill platter—it’s a carnivore’s dream! For vegetarians, the array of mezze options is a delight, with dishes like Baba ghanoush, tabbouleh, and stuffed vine leaves that are simply divine.

What truly sets this restaurant apart, however, is the exceptional service. The staff are attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about sharing their culture through food. They go above and beyond to ensure every guest feels welcomed and cared for, offering recommendations and explaining the nuances of each dish with enthusiasm. Their warmth and hospitality make the dining experience even more memorable.

The location is simply magical. Sitting by the window, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the river as it glistens under the evening lights, adding a touch of romance to your meal. Whether you’re here for a casual lunch, a family dinner, or a special celebration, the ambience is perfect for any occasion.

In a town brimming with dining options, this Lebanese restaurant stands out as a true culinary gem. It’s not just a meal—it’s an experience that lingers in your heart and on your palate. If you’re in Reading, do yourself a favour and visit this incredible spot. You’ll leave with a full stomach, a happy heart, and a deep appreciation for Lebanese hospitality. Bravo to the team for creating such a remarkable dining...

The food was really good, and I took my wife out for a date night, which we were both looking forward to. Unfortunately, the experience was let down by poor organisation. We were seated outside in a nice shaded area, which was great considering the sunny weather. My wife and I already knew what we wanted, but we waited around 15 minutes for someone to take our order even after I asked a staff member to send someone over.

The food arrived after 30 minutes, which is fairly standard based on other places we’ve been to. I had the mixed grill, and my wife ordered a different dish from the menu. The meals were tasty, but not outstanding, and the portion sizes didn’t feel worth the price.

We also ordered homemade lemonade Punchade and Strawberryade. They were both delicious, but I finished my drink before the food arrived and asked for tap water to go with the meal. It took another 20 minutes for the water to arrive, by which time I had already finished eating, feeling frustrated and overheated.

To top it off, they automatically added a 12.5% service charge to the bill. Given the poor service, I didn’t feel this was deserved and asked for it to be removed. The staff member muttered “no” under his breath, which was completely unprofessional. My wife backed me up and said we wouldn’t be paying the charge. Overall, the food was enjoyable, but the service was a major letdown and really spoiled what should’ve been a...

What let's the whole experience down is that your app does not work and is not fit for purpose! I went to your restaurant last night and wanted to order from the app in order to earn reward points and redeem a voucher that i'm entitled to use but because the app doesn't work I couldn't do either of these things. It was very annoying and frustrating spending time trying to order through the app and getting nowhere. When I went to the 'order at table' option it just goes to a dead end, not going any further and not bringing up any food or drink options from the menu to allow me to place an order for anything. What made things worse is that I asked one of your staff members how I could place an order through the app and they just shrugged their shoulders and said "I don't know". Surely your own staff members should be able to offer some assistance with your app if a customer is having problems with it! This is now the second time I've visited your restaurant in the last 3 months, I've spent around £200 in total and I haven't been able to earn any reward points or redeem a discount voucher I'm entitled to use because your app doesn't work. On both occasions visiting your restaurant it's been a bad experience due what I've described. I would like to know what your response to this is and if there will be any type of goodwill offer made regarding the poor customer service...

Bad service, potential scamming and disappointing experience. We came here as a table of 8 and found the service was very poor, sitting around waiting consistently to order drinks, getting drinks, ordering food and getting food. It felt like the team were understaffed but also not interested. I ordered a large mixed grill, which i expected to be large, but it looks like I was given the regular size based on online searching, which is disappointing. The sangria tasted watered down like squash and they were out of all draft beers. To make this meal worse some or our food hadnt arrived when we came to pay our bill (over an hour after we had ordered) and the staff tried to force us to pay for it saying “we cant refund it as the manager isn’t here” and “you can come back tomorrow for a refund”. This is ridiculously poor service so we refused to pay for it - they eventually relented. They were also cheeky enough to make sure everyone was paying service charge, which we were doing anyway. I am extremely dissatisfied with my experience here and wouldnt recommend it. The food was great but the experience as a whole was poor.
