The Cocktail Club - Cocktail Bar in Reading — Restaurant in Reading

Really disappointed with how the staff dealt with my friend being forced off of a bar stool by an aggressive man. Because I originally said he’d pushed my friend off the stool when in fact he wasn’t strong enough to push, he’d pulled/yanked it, the staff said I was equally as wrong for pushing the guy away from my friend afterwards. Making out it was some equal scenario. Very disappointing in 2022 that a woman can stand up to a man after he tried to hurt someone & be told that behaviour isn’t ok. When the police were notified they said this behaviour from bar staff is becoming more common as the hospitality industry was so impacted by lockdown. The cocktail club employee was HUGGING the man after speaking to him....

This little bar is an absolute gem of a place. My partner and I went for a bottomless brunch. We came to reading for a romantic break away filled with fun and laughter. B The cocktail club reminded me of the bars we visited back in the 90’s. It was so much fun, Dancing on seats, barmen getting involved. The atmosphere in the club was amazing. We felt as though was as though we had walked onto the set of koyote ugly. We will definitely be coming back to reading just so we can do brunch at the cocktail club again. We usually have a lovely time at Cocktail Club. Obviously, their cocktails are delicious, and there is such a wide selection, though usually I go for their long island ice tea. We much prefer it before they turn up the music and it turns into a club. We like to go there usually to chill after a nice meal and just chill at the big window seat and spy on people as they walk past in the street.
