Brewery Zero Degrees is a local brewery in Reading, and I was thoroughly impressed with my experience there. The brewery prides itself on its hand-crafted beers, and you can tell that they take great care in creating each and every one of their unique brews. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and I loved the industrial chic decor. The brewery has a wide selection of beers on tap, including a pilsner, an American ale, an IPA, a fruit beer, and some specials. I tried a few different varieties during my visit, and each one was good. The flavors were robust, and I could tell that each beer was crafted with care and attention to detail. The concept and place were both great, and I loved the emphasis on hand-crafted beer. I would highly recommend this brewery to anyone in the area looking for a great place to grab a drink with friends or to try out some unique and delicious beers. 4 stars for brewery Restaurant I recently had the opportunity to dine at an Italian restaurant in Reading that boasted of its Neapolitan pizza and wood-fired oven. As a big fan of Italian cuisine, I was eager to try out their pizza and see if it could live up to my expectations. The restaurant had a warm and inviting ambiance, with a cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. As I perused the menu, my eyes were immediately drawn to the section featuring their Neapolitan pizzas. The descriptions were mouth-watering, and the pictures looked fantastic. However, when my pizza arrived at the table, I was a bit disappointed. Although it looked good on the menu and had a lovely appearance, it was far away from an authentic Neapolitan pizza taste. The crust was too thick and lacked the classic chewy texture that is a hallmark of Neapolitan pizzas. While I appreciated the effort put into the preparation of the pizza, I couldn't help but feel a bit let down by the lack of authenticity. I would recommend this Italian restaurant for its inviting ambiance and friendly service, but if you're looking for an authentic Neapolitan pizza experience, you might want to look elsewhere. 3 stars for restaurant

This place served decent food. We attended just after 4 pm and it was not too crowded. The Seafood Linguini was nice and I appreciated the way in which it was presented. There could have been more King Prawns and Squids. I do concede that these items are expensive, but the price for meal was significant. The Chefs prepare the meals in the open, which is nice to look at, although this must be intimidating for them. I would have likely to have watched them more closely, but I did not want to stare. Additionally, I am concerned that some of the items on the menu are labelled as “vegetarian” when they are not. For example, Parmesan cheese is not a vegetarian item. In relation to the menu, the 7 Cheeses Pizza is presented as a vegetarian item, but the ingredients speak otherwise. Parmesan cheese uses an enzyme which is found in the lining of a goat’s or a calf’s stomach. I am not a Vegetarian, so my concern is for others who have made a significant commitment not to consume any meat products. The menu itself has lots of wonderful items, but it is prudent for some things to be raised. The Server made an error in the order. People make mistakes and one of the other members of staff spoke to us about it. The Server apologised sincerely for the error. It was rectified immediately. Yes, I concede that mistakes can be made but it is also equally important as to how they are dealt with and the members of staff dealt with it immediately and efficiently.

Zero degrees Microbrewery Review: A Blend of Great Brews, Bites, and Atmosphere Recently, I had the pleasure of taking my uncle, visiting from India, to a local microbrewery with a restaurant, and it turned out to be an exceptional experience. The brewery's ambience was a standout feature—industrial yet inviting, with gleaming tanks, pipes, and brewing equipment creating an immersive setting for craft beer enthusiasts. The atmosphere felt lively yet relaxed, perfect for a casual outing. We started with a couple of drinks, and the brewery's offerings did not disappoint. Each sip reflected the artistry of small-batch brewing. For food, we opted for a wood-fired mushroom pizza, buttermilk chicken, and classic French fries. The pizza was a revelation, with a crisp, charred crust and fresh toppings that made every bite flavorful. The buttermilk chicken was succulent, tender, and seasoned to perfection, while the fries were crisp and addictive—an ideal accompaniment to our drinks. The service added another layer of charm to our visit. The staff were attentive, friendly, and efficient, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable dining experience.

TL:DR - poor beer selection and terrible BBQ Chicken Pizza

Zerodegrees, my old reliable beer & pizza spot has proven itself not so reliable on my most recent visit. The beer list was quite disappointing as they were out of everything I would want....yes I know it's a microbrewery and they run out of beers, but when you run out you are supposed to replace it with something, not leave it sitting there empty.

The food was better, most of it anyway. Most people were quite happy with their selections. I ordered a barbecue chicken pizza, and knowing that their pizzas are cooked in a wood oven I had an expectation of a decent pizza arriving. What a horror show of a pizza that arrived at my table. The sauce was absolutely everywhere to the point that it was making the crust soggy, but the real problem was the chicken. Most barbecue chicken pizzas use tiny strips, or shredded pieces of chicken breast because it just becomes so dried out when it gets cooked twice (once to make it food-safe, 2nd time in the pizza oven as a topping). The chicken on my pizza was these massive chunks that were as dry as my shoes, except my shoes would definitely have tasted better. The chicken tasted so salty, it sounds like they marinated the chicken is a salt-based rub then cooked it to death, then added it to the pizza in its own bathtub of sweet BBQ sauce. What was left was an appalling pizza.

The server asked if everything was alright when he noticed I had eaten only a piece and a half of my pizza, and my reply was "What do you think?".

Minus two stars, you can do better...

This place is shocking, really, really shocking.

Menu looks great, in house beers look amazing.

The reality is dismal. First off, nearly all "veggie" items have Parmesan, and as even a numpty knows you need to slaughter created calves to call your cheese Parmesan!!!

House beer was dreadful. Tasteless.

Given the very limited veggie options, if one is not a who likes crated veal stomachs in their cheese. We debated at length with the server, who spoke little English. Who said it t's OK in Spain we use a different definition of vegetarian, so vegges options with meat are OK?

So, having talked a length about mushroom paella or vegan meat balls with him. I opted for the latter. Only to be served dough balls! Instantly sent back, In the meantime, my partner had what she had ordered severed. The dough balls! Where swiftly sent back. So sitting there with an empty place, wile my partner had her meal. The items I ordered turned up after she had finished. But clearly hurried, all very under cooked and tasteless.

We complained to the person that I assume was the manger? On all issues. Huge apologies. However, on the rare occasions where restaurants have messed up in the past. They have away compensated for their errors. Normally not charging for the messed up meal, and in some cases adding a bottle of wine etc. Not here, no discount, and even insisting we pay the service charge. What F%'ing service????

We eat-out 2-3 times a week. This is, by a very long way, the worst eatery in...
