West Bridgford isn't short of places to drink and dine, but this Castle Rock outpost south of the river takes a proud place among them. Rumoured to be a former pet shop by the locals, it's retained a varied range of occupants. The beer is Castle Rock quality and the atmosphere matches.
There are a number of little corners and a great snug. The outside terrace is a little summer sun trap and was well used in the 2018 heatwave. There's a selection of live music on through the week. Food is pub grub which is tasty and not over priced.
Staff, as is always the case in Castle Rock places, are friendly, engaging and knowledgeable. No menagerie any more!

Very popular in an area full of bars and restaurants. Packed last night after match at Trent Bridge. Still maintaining its standards and so nice to see people talking and not constantly looking at their phone screens.
