Went with a list from my bubble. I handed the list across, was told where to find the cobs, in the size and shape, that were wanted. The assistant even told me I needed 2 packs for the dozen requested. Everything on the list was quickly and efficiently found, the bill done. I'd already been informed that it was card payment only. The store was operating with 1 customer only inside the shop, but there still wasn't any great wait. We were so looking forward to revisiting Birds having seen it had been redesigned. We used to go every week when it was a proper cafe years ago. How disappointed were we when we found even now with the new updates that you still have to eat out of a paper bag as no plates are given. Really nice treats and very well priced. However it was a really poor experience eating in. The prices are slightly more for eating in, which I don't mind, however I was told "we're not a tea room anymore" when asking for some forks to eat our cakes in the seating area.
