PizzaExpress — Restaurant in Rushcliffe

Absolutely disgusted at the service from this place the staff were so abrupt and really rude towards us yet 52 people came to eat with you on that day and all you can think about is saving money , it’s like all anyone cares about these days rather than good customer service hence the 1 star review . So we were told that customers in such a big group can’t use vouchers due to terms and conditions which I understand but we were in separate groups every family was part of a different party so would all be paying separate , for 1 I only wanted to use the o2 ones for 2 margarita pizzas for the kids I had ordered a full pizza price items so had the wife both ordered a starter each plus a bottle of wine and all you cared about was vouchers ,the manager had no clue how to sort out a situation saying he had a duty of care to protect his staff from an irate customer of that’s how you deal with things then I’m afraid you’re in the wrong game and rather than help out and back up the customer you chose this option basically telling me to leave so I did and I’m just a normal guy day of 2 kids who wanted a nice meal after a fantastic season which you’ve ruined for me and my family so won’t ever be returning anyway just a heads up for others to avoid this place rating is terrible anyway to be honest and can see why...

i visited pizza express west bridgford on saturday night, and waited over 40 minutes to receive 2 portions of dough balls, the service staff were lovely and very apologetic and attentive to us, however while our server was checking on our order for us we overheard a female manager with brunette in a black t-shirt raising her voice telling her to leave extremely abruptly and loudly near the kitchen, very close to the table where we were sat. It was honestly quite difficult and uncomfortable to watch and hear. Our server seemed very upset and it caught the attention of tables nearby too. The management here clearly have no clue what they are doing and are very under appreciative and dismissive of their staff. I never usually leave reviews but i am gobsmacked at what me and my family were forced to witness. We have visited pizza express many times over the years and have never experienced any issues with service, however myself and family will think twice if ever visiting this branch again and supporting this business as the lack of ethics and respect to waiters is evidentially shown...

Top tip... if you download the pizza express app before you arrive you can get a free portion of adult dough balls, 1/3rd off some pizzas and some other pizza related goodies, I saved £11 using the app on this trip alone.

I booked online, and I'm glad I did because it was busy for 6pm, we ordered two childrens meals and two adults pizzas.

The starters and mains came quickly but the desserts seemed to take ages, we didn't leave until 8.15 and we are not slow eaters. The staff were lovely and friendly and our server had the best nails.

So, for the food..

We had dough balls (of course) and they were delicious, I can't remember how many is in a portion because we ate them so fast.

The new kids ice cream sandwich was a real hit with my 8 year old, she could have probably eaten two of them it was so tasty.

I had the prawn low cal pizza, I can't remember it's name but it's the one with the salad in the middle. It was nice and tasty and I was full before I'd finished the pizza but that was probably due to the free dough balls I ate before the main came (there's no calories in free...
