My husband and I visited a couple of weeks ago, Monday night, which was busy but still enough room to not have a wait for a table. They just opened around 8 weeks or so ago. If you don't pay them a visit, then you're a fool. The food is incredible - all homemade, the flavours are unbelievably good. We had a cold sharing board with fresh bread to start - all I'm going to say is "the aubergine salad š« š¤¤š¤©". For our main, we had tagine - I had chicken, hubby had lamb. Both are completely different in flavour, but oh my goodness.... sooooo delicious š¤¤š¤¤š!!! Also, I wanted something refreshing to drink, so I had a couple of l watermelon mocktails. We wanted desert, but there was no way we could if fit anything else in as we were so full!! As for the service , the two gentlemen who have the restaurant were amazing, so friendly and could not help enough, as did all of the team who worked there who were as equally lovely. So friendly and welcoming. We were saying that we will be bringing our daughter back to Manchester near Christmas, and we will definitely be visiting their restaurant again with her. We are very much looking forward to it and we can't recommend it highly enough. Well done for creating a lovely atmosphere and even better food, we wish you guys...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe food was absolutely delicious and you wouldn't think they only opened up a month ago, could not fault a thing. The service was great and you could tell they really cared about bringing authentic Moroccan cuisine to Manchester, they spoke of Morocco with such love that it had us planning our next trip there! The raspberry mocktail was refreshing, not 90% ice like at a lot of restaurants, but actually filled with juice. We ordered a cold mezze starter, I would say that it only came with one bread, which wasn't enough for the 4 cold starter dishes, but you could always order more, or enjoy the mezze with your main. The porterhouse cooked at medium rare was cooked to perfection, so good that it didn't need any sauce or sides, I could've eaten it on its own. It does come with fries and sauce also and not the mushroom and peppercorn were lovely. The dallas steak, also a great choice to order. There was a cubed lamb dish, the name escapes me, which came with a tomato sauce which I quite enjoyed. I had my leftover steak and lamb packed and cooked up in a pan the next day, sometimes when you cook lamb too much, it can become tough but this was still succulent, which shows what good quality meat it was. Highly recommend visiting, I'm looking forward to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe food was nice however the service was absolutely shambolic. We waited 30 minutes for a single server to even come to our table and ask about our order. We then waited nearly 1 hour 30 minutes for the food to come! It was absolutely ridiculous. What made it worse was that the manager then laughably claimed that this was standard and that many restaurant take ā2 and a half hours to give foodā and because they make it āfreshā this is to be expected and he even had the cheek to say that they provided good service. Iām actually in awe at the lack of self awareness in this restaurant! Absolutely awful service and itās really a shame because the food is nice. The table next to us also received awful service too as Iām sure many tables did! Iām aware it was a busy Saturday night however this was unacceptable and the management need to do better or the business...
