Had booked a table for myself and wife for our 25th anniversary and when we arrived there was no Maitre d to be seen which was unusual. There was a large group of people seated at a table and more arriving just walking in still no Maitre d to be seen after 5 mins waiting. A waiter asked if we were being seen to. We said no and he went a got the Maitre d who apologised for not seeing us. He asked is it a table for 2 I said yes and we have a reservation. He looked at his system and proceeded to take us to a table not too far from the large rowdy crowd. He said something to us as we sat down but we couldn't hear what he said and he walked away. We looked at the paper menus that were on the table and the menu has completely changed and has doubled in price. We waited another 5 mins and a girl came over to us to ask if we wanted to order drinks but we said we would wait a bit longer but as the noise was going on in the background from the large group (not blaming them for the noise or having a good time) we decided we would leave. Sadly I don't think we'll be back because it is definatley not the same Amarone that we have celebrated so many birthdays and anniversaries at before. Not the same staff or attention to service. We went to another Italian restaurant and immediately got the service we were looking for. We weren't looking for any out of the ordinary service but Amarone was really bad. I've never walked out of a restaurant before...

Purchased two vip food and drink deals. On arrival the manager didn't know what to do with them. The food was mediocre not the best food I have ever had there. Its normally fantastic great flavour and well presented. This time it was well below the normal expectation. The sweets was not what they used to be. I had the Creme brulee is normally for all the places I had it the top was crispy and sweet. This time is was like it was poured on it was disgusting. The final straw they didn't remove the food drink deal,,,, they left it on the bill. On further checking the bill they added the cocktails that came with the deal. I told I could change the cocktail for a glass of wine. This was also added to the bill....i made contact with restaurant manager who blanked me. On his way back I asked him to come over and told him there is discretion in the bill. He said in a rude manner told me to don't get angry with me. I have been going to the restaurant for a long time I will never step foot in the place. The place used to have friendly staff always helped you with any answers about menu. And regularly check if everything is OK.. This is now gone and they have gone way down in my esteemed. I never though I would say this. This is now the worse Italian restaurant I have been in and will never return or recommend the place. If any one is going there you can make your...

Where do I start? We booked a table of 5, seated and was asked for our drinks. That was as good as it got for us! A simple order of 5 cups of hot water took well over 10 minutes to arrive! And then the ordering of food. We asked specifically to have all the food to arrive together. But instead, we got 3 out of the 4 starters, and none of the main course was to be seen! This was after us waiting just under an hour for the starters! We had 2 main courses with duck, and upon cutting it, was dripping red! We asked the waitress if it was cooked and they replied 'yes', which was clearly not the case! They took both dishes away, but instead of giving us a new dish, they said they did not have any more duck in stock and will have to re-make the duck that was given to us. (this was after their apparent lack of stock with any beef order, which was what we wanted to order). Fast forward a further 15-20 minutes and the 2 duck dishes finally arrived! A whole experience that took close to 2 hours, and we didn't even get a chance to look at the desserts! (not that we wanted to after this experience!) If they did not already put a service charge on top of the bill, we would definitely not offer a tip for the service. Have definitely put us off coming back again! Bitterly...

Cold rainy evening in Glasgow, par the course, no pun. 4 of us travelling from Lancashire for a couple of days in Glasgow and decided to book . Warm welcome and a lovely cosy , intimate , Italian restaurant. Loved the seating arrangement as you get the vibe of the place but without being too intrusive . The food was fantastic. Everything was hot , fresh and great ingredients and produce used . The foccachia breads were dutifully devoured to the last crumb . For the mains , my fillet steak was cooked to perfection and well rested . The pasta dishes the others ordered were nice and polished off and so was the chicken with the fondant potatoes. Then came the highlight. O was stuffed and didn't fancy a dessert but my fellow diner noticed a lemon and lime creme brulee with shortbread biscuits . Wow , wow ,wow after a heavy meal and expecting more lushness to push me over the edge into a food coma , this was light , refreshing and together with soft buttery shortbread biscuits, just simply a divine way to finish off a great meal . Prices are reasonable, ambiance is bang on and service was excellent and to boot it had halal options. If in Glasgow, deffo vist . Bring an umbrella though .

I cannot believe I've never left a review here. I ADORE this place. I was starving when I stumbled upon it and actually intended to go to Chaophraya next door. We ordered bread to start and when we went to order a bottle of wine, a server stopped to discuss it with us. We told him our intended pasta orders and he made a recommendation. In total, we got: A bottle of wine Bread and butter Two pasta dishes One Creme Brûlée One Tiramisu I believe our total was around 110 euros. We had the most lovely experience. We sat outside and I think we dined for nearly two hours. It was lovely. I cannot wait to return when I go back to Glasgow.

Lovely Italian restaurant in a brilliant part of the city. The presentation of the dishes was well thought out and elegant but the execution of taste was not good enough. Under-seasoned dishes and no option of salt on the table, only pepper. The scallop dish was twice as expensive but it didn't hit the spot. The sundried tomatoes in the dish were perfect but it couldn't bring it up to excellence. The pasta itself was cooked spot on so the chef does know what they are doing but they didn't taste the food before it went out. The pizza was good but nothing to tell your mum about.
