Used to be good when it first opened with 1 shop. The management has changed. New manager is arrogant and does not give a damn about customers. Old manager was far better. When they mess up orders there is no accountability, just excuses. They make money but at the expense of your time!! They opened more branches and have bitten off more than they can chew. They have grown into an ugly monster and don't have the proper staff and skills to cope. Waiting 30 mins for a burger.. really?? My advice... either staff up, manage your shops properly with speedy service or close up. Scale back and do not take on more orders than you can handle. They now have 6 branches and are planning another 12 !!! Heaven spare us. The reason they are growing is people are happy to let service falter for the prize at the end. Having tasted it a few times yea it's ok i wouldn't say it is amazing though. Do not be fooled by fancy pictures and hype and glitzy new shops. Judge the food and service on its merits. The food may be nice for people but the wait times and service is abysmal. Prices are through the roof, totally mental. The problem is people seem to like their burgers so will happily queue up, wait ages and pay that price. The shops are very cramped especially when busy. Sometimes you cannot even open or close the door. Joke. The staff need to learn some manners and courtesy. It is not just about making money you know. For heavens sake smile and be courteous, and show some love and consideration to your customers. This may turn into a mini version of McDonalds but with heftier prices.... Not...

I ventured into Chilos with a sliver of hope, a hope that was quickly extinguished by the culinary catastrophe that followed. The Chilos, if you can even call it that, was an abomination. Imagine chewing on a tire that's been marinating in old gym socks – that's the ballpark we're in. The service was equally delightful; our server seemed to be actively avoiding eye contact, possibly out of shame for the food they were forced to serve. The ambiance? Let's just say the flickering fluorescent lights and sticky tables added a certain… charm. If you're looking for a dining experience that will leave you questioning your life choices, then by all means, give Chilos, a try. Otherwise, I'd recommend a sandwich from a gas station – you'll probably be happier."
Why this is "terribly worse":
Dramatic Language: Uses phrases like "culinary catastrophe" and "abomination" for dramatic effect. Disgusting Imagery: The tire/gym sock comparison is intentionally unpleasant. Passive-Aggressive Tone: The comments about the server and ambiance are snide and condescending. Over-the-Top Conclusion: Suggests a gas station sandwich is preferable.
Now I think this terrible and all staff that are currently working at 18.23pm on Saturday the 5th of April should be sacked and never be working in a customer service job again as this is terrible and I will never come back this shop because...
Read moreAn unexpected treat on Paisley Rd. Staying in Glasgow for a couple of days near Paisley Road. Went out for food when we arrived and found Chilos on Paisley Rd, near the Quay. I ordered the Gozilla burger. I was really impressed by the quality of meat. The whole burger was delicious and with just a little kick of spice. Not an element of it was over or under done. A superb burger, along with their excellent, customisable fries(I got cheese salt) and a Chilos, own brand Mandarin soft drink (also, absolutely delicious and refreshing) cost under £16. It's probably cheaper to go to McDonald's or Burger King but this place is absolutely levels above anything they would serve you. If it's within your range (price or delivery) and you like a good burger, you owe it to yourself to try this place out. Just make sure you're hungry though. I was absolutely stuffed by the end. Maybe avoid if you're on a diet too. This is definitely an indulgence. Restaruant wise, it's a small and simple place with helpful, friendly staff. Tables and toilets were spotless. My only gripe... Maybe change the mix tape. Or turn it down a bit. (That's age talking)
I'm going back home in a couple of days but I think I'll be heading back for another burger...
