G's Fish & Chips — Restaurant in Scotland

I am a regular customer at G's fish and chips and have been since it first opened under previous owner, we always get fish and chips. So sad to say that don't order anything from them at a fixed delivery time. Particularly during Ramadhan. They agreed to send the food by 8.15pm but food didn't turn up till 9.15pm. If it wasn't for my old mum liking their fish I would have stopped buying from these guys a long time ago. No customer service skills at all. Sometimes you go in and the staff are fighting (verbally) amongst themselves. Don't have cashless payment system. General indifference to customers needs. When I called to ask why my delivery hadn't arrived at 8.15pm I was told that they shall start making it now (8.20pm) and assign a driver to send it. When I asked why he had accepted the order when he knew he couldn't deliver it on time I was belittled by him over the phone. He was not willing to accept that he was in the wrong in any way. Got hopelessly lost in Glasgow and were cold and hungry. Spotted the sign and thought we'd give it a go. Boy am I glad we did. Went for the £9.95 special....battered haddock chips a Mortons roll plus a drink. Stone cold bargain. The food was cooked to order and took a while but the shop was busy plus they were dealing with the Justeat orders too. Very generous portion piping hot and everything was just gorgeous. Owner and I'm assuming his son were extremely polite and apologised for the delays. Only minor gripes were that we had to remind them about the rolls and drinks and my batter erred towards overcooked but still thoroughly enjoyed the food. The haddock was fresh tasted delicious and proper chippy chips. Other customers had the masala haddock which I would love to try in future. The owner is so polite patient and his sons a credit to him. Great value for money and we made chip butties with the roll. Stuff pretentious food....this is real fill...

Absolutely beautiful.. I go here quite often and the food is always lovely.. Staff are very nice and helpful and sometimes give my little girl a sweet to eat while we wait which was nice.. They offer a delivery service that I just found out about so I will be ordering even more now.. Fantastic place and beautiful food 5 stars ✨ Update.. I have since ordered from the delivery service and have to say its not great.. Always arrives late.. A lot late and on one occasion I ordered a large smoked sausage supper and what they sent me was 2 horrible sausages in batter (not a sausage supper as my partner had that and it was lovely) it's not smoked sausage so not good at all from a 5 star top rated restaurant.. Shame as this place place could have gone far.. I think it could be under new management...
