Please Read! I have usually had a decent experience at Henry's (ignoring how bad the internet is) until today. I was waiting for my order when I noticed the barista had suddenly become very watchful of the lady who had just entered the cafƩ. Stereotypically, the lady is viewed by society as from a lower class background. She proceeded to ask the barista for a fork for her soup, and was met with no kindness or decency from the barista and told "you should go back to where you got your food from and ask them". I was not happy with the response from the barista as she quite literally lacked basic manners and human decency. Instead of apologising to the lady she then turned around and ignored her, leaving the poor lady to leave. This was then followed by the other barista making the statement of "we should have security for these types of people". I was disgusted hearing this, it quite clearly shows that the staff come from a place of privilege and lack basic human decency. I will not be visiting the cafƩ again and have told many people around me to avoid the place as it's quite clear how they treat people. Awful thing to...
Read moreNice little coffee shop to sit and relax or, as I noticed, do your college work. There were two servers on and a queue of three people waiting. I thought that the servers could have been a little quicker. Each order that was placed was made up one at a time, and therefore, we were standing for 10-15 minutes before being served. We placed our order, two lattes, and a toastie, which were ready after 10 minutes. 20-30 minutes for two lattes and a toastie? It's a bit too long. Anyways, the large latte is served in what looks like a porcelain pint mug, but I found the taste to be a bit weak and milky and at £3.85, double the amounts of shots would be better in a mug this size. The toastie tasted ok. The servers were polite and well presented. This cafe needs at least four people working behind the counter when busy. The toilets were...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMade a visit to henry's coffee house today around 12pm - (I always walk past, but never usually have time to pop in).
Got seen to promptly and had a lovely small Hot Chocolate & Honey nut Flapjack, now I'm not usually a Honey fan... but Honey nut flapjack tempted me. A bit pricey at £3.25 but it was nice. It was nice to have a small hot chocolate for a change as some cafes only do them 1 or 2 sizes.
The girl who served me (forgot to ask her name) was lovely š, nice smile, great singing! And made for a lovely atmosphere. Quite a few tables were dirty and still had trays etc on them, but I work in hospitality and can understand fully it's hard running a ship with such few people... so no marks of that in my mind.
Thank you for making my quick...
