L'Italiano Pizzeria Ristorante — Restaurant in Scotland

Usually I can't see past the amazing l'Italiano pizzas but yesterday I was tempted by the Halloween Menu: and I was not disappointed. The wild mushroom soup was tasty and perfectly seasoned, topped with crispy croutons - the perfect starter. My main was possibly the best risotto I've eaten in a restaurant: seasonal pumpkin and mushroom, with parmesan crisps and truffle oil: chef Alessandro got the balance of flavours just right...and the colour! a feast for the eyes and tummy. Two courses were probably enough but I couldn't resist trying the Halloween cheesecake...bursting with blueberries it was the perfect end to a wonderful lunch, accompanied by smooth espresso. Hurry though, this special menu is only available until Halloween....though there are always those...

Pizza base was exceptional. Puffy crust with a great flavour from the wood fire oven. The toppings and centre were delightfully gooey. I ate my pizza rolled up! Also had the pasta with chicken in tomato and cream sauce which was absolutely delicious especially fir diffibg our pizza crusts into. Are these people vampires cause the “garlic bread” we got could hardly be described as such. The only cause and explanation for the single soggy slice of oily bread that cost about as much as 5 61p Tesco garlic baguettes, is that this place is run by vampires. You’ve been found out son. Next time give me more garlic bread or I’ll be contacting Van Helsing to come shut your garlic hating establishment down. Pizza was decent....
