Usually I can't see past the amazing l'Italiano pizzas but yesterday I was tempted by the Halloween Menu: and I was not disappointed. The wild mushroom soup was tasty and perfectly seasoned, topped with crispy croutons - the perfect starter. My main was possibly the best risotto I've eaten in a restaurant: seasonal pumpkin and mushroom, with parmesan crisps and truffle oil: chef Alessandro got the balance of flavours just right...and the colour! a feast for the eyes and tummy. Two courses were probably enough but I couldn't resist trying the Halloween cheesecake...bursting with blueberries it was the perfect end to a wonderful lunch, accompanied by smooth espresso. The only cause and explanation for the single soggy slice of oily bread that cost about as much as 5 61p Tesco garlic baguettes, is that this place is run by vampires. You’ve been found out son.
