Extremely Disappointing Experience at Shenaz Restaurant

I had an incredibly frustrating experience at Shenaz Restaurant that I feel compelled to share. Prior to visiting, I called the restaurant to inquire specifically about their "Chola Puri /Chola Batura" and asked if it would be available in the evening. The staff confirmed it was available, and when I asked if they could take my order in advance so it would be ready when I arrived (as I was just 10 minutes away and driving), they assured me they would immediately start making it once I got there.

However, upon arriving at the restaurant, the situation took a complete turn. When I went to place my order, I was told that they would not serve me 'Chola puri' and insisted that I had to order from the dinner menu instead. This was extremely frustrating, especially since I had already confirmed the dish would be available and I had made arrangements for a light meal, not a full dinner. At no point during my phone call was I told that I couldn't just order one dish, nor was I informed that I had to order a full dinner. I was simply looking for a light meal, and this sudden change in policy caught me completely off guard.

The situation became even more embarrassing, as I was with my young son, just six years old, and my wife. To be told that we couldn’t have the meal we had specifically asked for, after confirming it was available, was both disappointing and awkward. When I expressed my frustration, the staff showed no empathy or understanding, and they even suggested we leave if we weren’t willing to order a full dinner.

I informed them that I would be leaving a negative review due to the unprofessional and discourteous treatment, but they seemed completely indifferent. It was a truly unpleasant experience, and I left feeling deeply disappointed and embarrassed in front of my family.

Given my experience, I would not recommend Shenaaz Restaurant. The lack of transparency regarding their menu and the poor customer service left a very bad impression, and I will not...

Absolutely fab restaurant 👌 Me and my daughter went for a meal before going to a gig at the OVO Hydro. We opted for the pre-theatre menu which had lots of choices, and included a start, a main with accompaniment and tea, coffee or ice cream to finish. The food was delicious, every dish was full of flavour, very fresh and piping hot, you could tell it was freshly cooked. There was a good selection of soft drinks, spirits, beers and wines on offer. The service was excellent, staff were all very friendly. Attentive without being too much. The atmosphere in the restaurant was lovely. And all at a decent price. Was well worth what we paid. And another thing I noticed is that the staff knew a lot of the customers coming in, had a chat with them, knew their preferences and what they liked etc before the customers had even asked good service. And it's always a good sign when customers are repeatedly returning. And we'll be returning...

I recently had my wedding dinner at this restaurant, where we booked a Pakistani dinner for our family. With how picky my family can be when it comes to food, I was a bit nervous, but I’m so glad I chose this place. The food was miles better than other options we've tried before—each dish was flavorful and perfectly cooked, which everyone appreciated.

The staff were incredibly friendly and made sure we were all well taken care of throughout the evening. The atmosphere was another highlight—unlike most places that can feel crowded and noisy, it wasn’t busy when we arrived, which created a relaxed and enjoyable setting for my family to fully take in the moment.
