McNabs came highly recommended by a friend. Not sure what happened but it lacked any charm or good attributes. We had reservations and the place was nearly empty, still we stood around waiting for someone to acknowledge us for five minutes or so. Awkward. Beers came quickly then we waited for quite a while for our food. The nachos were noble effort but a miss. They were soggy. The McNab burger was the size of a slider. It was dry and not tasty. The chips were very good. We had to ask for dessert twice. Then we waited for the bill. And we waited. A simple meal took two full hours and the restaurant was not full. Not even close to full. Food was good enough (Iâd say very good, but Iâm not a Michelin reviewer) for 4 very hungry people who had spent day traveling. And for a hungry person, atmosphere isnât very important (3 star rating still above average). There was a futbol game on the TVâŠall I needed. The âgrumpyâ guy serving, according to a review a week ago, was basically working alone and he was the bartender. Place had 20 people inside and had seating for 50. Of course he was busy.    Read moreSecond time visiting Macnab's - yup they for sure have location, location, location. BUT that doesn't always mean success. I love their menu, not too complicated but GREAT food paired with fresh drinks. If you are lucky to sit outside even better.
BUT if the World Cup is on...you will want to be inside. Food is always great and comes out7 quickly. Only thing I can see for improvement is they need more help.
