Visited zizzi in inverness today and a shambles would be an understatement! Firstly before getting seated we waited a while, the girl behind the bar did not even acknowledge us standing waiting. A simple hello someone will be with you shortly. When approached by what I assumed to be the manager the first thing to be said was “put on your mask” when he did not have one on with no lanyard to show he was exempt. All staff had masks covering there chin no mouth or nose covered. When seated took around 15 minutes to take the drinks order, asked for a pint of fresh orange and lemonade and i was given it in what looked to be a small kids glass. Then waited a further 15 minutes for food order to be placed due to the front of house to busy lighting candles and chatting to other staff on there break. Got the starters they were good but left me with the same cutlery to eat the main dish. I Ordered chicken milinase but was given a super spicy chicken and tomato dish that burnt the lining of my mouth. Trying to get a staff members attention to highlight the error was next to impossible. Look to the left an one was admiring the ceiling look to the right another sitting having a gab with another staff. Eventually after waving someone down to get the bill and asking if the dish was the chicken milinase the reply was no but i will deduct it from the bill…no apology or offer of the correct dish. Some training wouldnt go amiss. A simple check back on the table to ask if everything is ok would prevent these small errors from happening. I can understand these small mistakes when the restaurant is busy but not when there was only...
Read moreFront staff unwilling to help or answer the phone, such a disgrace and disrespect for customers. Called on Friday night (26th Nov) to book a table over the phone no answer, called again on Saturday Morning from 11am -12:30 phone kept ringing and ringing no answer. So I went in with my 3 other friends and 3 kids. They stayed outside while I was waiting to be served. There was a guy at the front desk making drinks, didn't say hello or anything, a big girl went to the desk and spoke to him and once again I got ignored. Eventually 10mins later she came to me and asked " Have you been served?" No apologies for making me wait for 10 mins... nothing... Asked her if we could sit in for a lunch, she looked at me and my friends who were outside and asked if we had booked a table. So I reply no sorry. She said : We're fully booked! So I asked her does anyone answers the phone? The reason why I am asking this is because I was having issues last time on your website trying to book a table and I tried to call you both last night and this morning to book a table and no one answered. ( Bare in mind when I was there no once the phone rang, I think they've disconnected on purpose to avoid any calls) So her answer to that was; We are very busy! " Bare in mind there were a few tables empty. I was shocked by the service, and next time I go back to Inverness I will not be returning to Zizi's including my friends that live in Inverness. Please get your staffs attitude to change or you'll lose your business...
Read moreMy sister went to this place along with her husband on New Year's Eve to enjoy a cozy dinner and a fine dining atmosphere as promised by restaurants just like Zizzi Inverness.
Strangely, there were no tables available for them as it was told by one of the waiters in service at that specific hour.
Though she could not ignore the fact that there were at least 3-4 tables which were not reserved at all and looked empty.
At last, after some hassle, they were given a table that was next to the loo. This made my sister's new year eve not only unpleasant but tiring.
The couple then decided to leave the place after getting served with a rude and racist behaviour from the staff.
They could not believe that despite being told by the staff that those 3-4 tables were reserved, they remained empty till midnight as it was clearly visible through glass walls of the restaurant.
In, this age, when everyone pays the same amount of money to a promised service or exchange of goods, is it necessary to practise racial profiling?
We might not have an answer to this question, though if you want to spare yourself such despair, then better not visit this...
