We love finding good pizza, places wherever we go, and this is among the best. We’ve been to Italy, and this is true actual Italian style pizza. Their ovens run about 800°F and the pizzas cook in about a minute or so. They are loaded down with a million toppings, but in the Italian fashion, run true to form with one or two simple toppings. We showed up on a Tuesday night with no reservations, and though the place was hopping, we were seated immediately. We love that our table was near the cooking area so we could watch the action. The service staff is super friendly and engaging. They take the time to explain the menu for those who don’t know about such things. And everyone around us seem to be having a great time, Both staff and customers. In true Italian bistro fashion, we even made some quick friends at a nearby table, exchanging stories, and taking pictures together. Perfection! We ordered from their daily special which isn’t on the menu, honestly, I don’t remember which sausage it was, they had, and what cheese, but it was delicious! You can tell that because we dug in before I remembered to take a picture lol. As you can see in the photos, the menu isn’t huge nor should it be, with super quality ingredients you don’t need 1000 choices. They did make a point to say that you could put any topping on any pizza and they would still make it for you if you wished. They were hand making cannoli so we had to order one to finish things off. It was wonderful! The prices were reasonable, and we never felt rushed to finish or clear our table. All in all, a super great experience and wonderful food. We highly recommend having a meal here.

Central Glasgow, near George Square, Paesano does traditional, Italian style pizzas very well indeed. The place is always packed in what can only be imagined as a basic, army mess hall or crammed school dinner hall style: strangers seated together in long tables, or elbow to elbow in tiny 2 seat desks next to other couples eating. It's not romantic! It's more casual. The cutlery, including pizza cutter, is in an old food tin on the table, with a bottle of peppery drizzling oil. The waiters are quick and attentive. I think their memo is to get you served and out as quick as possible, which is fine if you want your pizza fast. The menu is limited but adequate. Vegans are catered for in that they offer a pizza without cheese. There's a bar and you can also get a side salad. The pizzas themselves are what makes Paesano such a popular place. They are delicious, and huge, built from scratch on sour dough bread and they're much cheaper than any fast food pizza chain. You can get a huge (probably 18 inch) pizza for £6, eating in. Can't beat that! They will also offer to box up your left overs. All in all, great tasting food and great value for money if you're not fussy about sharing a packed space with lots of others in close proximity on hard seats.

Lovely atmosphere and parking at night is not a problem. Proper authentic pizza. The tiramisu was lovely. It closes at 11pm and we reached there at 10.30pm. I just felt that we were rushed a bit and were constantly reminded of the closing time. Those pizzas are of a decent size so it takes time to finish. I wanted to try their desserts as well so I asked them to put them in takeaway boxes just in case we couldn't finish on time but the funny bit is that we were there till 11.20ish and nobody rushed us after the first 20mins or so. That brings me to the question that why the sudden rush in the beginning I understand the last orders have to go in by a certain time but I just feel like if they would have told us that you can take your time it'll be alright I would've enjoyed a lot more. I even spilled my drink on my pizza as I was just rushing in the beginning when our order arrived but later it was much calmer and I felt at ease. I'll definitely visit again but I'll make sure I don't bother going in if it's any later than 10pm. The food, atmosphere and the whole vibe was really good.

MEGA. pizzas are real good. owned by the same people who own Sugo Glasgow and you can tell because it’s JUST AS GOOD. service was super quick and pizzas were fresh! very unique onion starter, good job guys. i had a margarita but with added garlic- great however… the starter “spicy nduja and mascarpone” is a little misleading, we expected a sausage and cheese kinda thing, what we got instead of a nduja flavoured cream cheese with some very thin pieces of bread. it wasn’t bad- just unexpected. also another thing which could elevate our experience is having a less clustered table. seating for four and we barely had space to move with the massive tin (although i love it) and salt and pepper and chilli oil. once drinks and starters arrived it was pretty impossible to not knock stuff over! people sat on the benches didn’t seem too clustered though, so maybe for the small tables they could be placed on request instead? overall 4 and a half stars but it won’t let me do that- love u guys though

Had the margherita pizza topped with fresh chili followed by the soft-serve ice cream for dessert. What an experience! The pizza had layers of flavour. The crust, the sauce, the cheese - each one superlative! I love that their cheese of choice is Fior di Latte Mozzarella. They give the option to change to mozzarella di bufala should that be your preference. I ate a whole pizza. It went down effortlessly. A testament to well fermented dough. Will be back for more! Update: and i was back for more! This time at the West end branch. Pizza hit the spot again. Felt a little rushed on both visits though. There was no gap between the appetizers and main - both times. And, I was served ice cream and coffee simultaneously on my first visit! Go figure! I reckon there's just too much demand for them to slow down. There is always a queue of people waiting to be seated. The staff has to operate under high pressure. The pizza is ace though. That's the bottom line 👌

Hands down the best pizza I've had this side of the Mediterranean. It's always busy. You have to queue in a tiny little corner hoping you don't miss your name being called. The tables are so tiny and packed so close together. but Oh My - the pizza. When you do get your pizza if your neighbours aren't already eating you can feel the tension as they stare at your plate it's downright pornographic. The pizza is so good the crust is a delight on its own. Highly recommend a dip of chilli oil to go with it though, very peppery and delicious. The wait staff are rushed off their feet (as you might expect) but they're all really nice and they do sort you out. Finally, you get the bill, and rejoice. Because it's only £12 for the best pizza you've had in a long time and you start wondering why you ever bother with other restaurants. Pizza is a balanced meal, right? Maybe I could go on a pizza-only diet...
