PLEASE REFER TO UPDATES TO THIS REVIEW, BELOW: Love this place. The food is fantastic and the service is excellent. This is the second time I've been in here, with the last time being before Covid hit. If I was to direct any criticism toward the place it would be that I felt the tables were a bit too close together and the staff kept asking if we wanted more drinks, when we still had alot left. I feel the quality of the pizza definitely warrants the £11 price tag when you can have near enough unlimited toppings (I had 3, my other friend had 8 and the other person had 20 - I kid you not!). The atmosphere was nice, music a tad too loud, so we had to shout to talk. The pizza menu selection has somewhat diminished since pre-Covid, with only 1 option of cheese now (mozzarella). My pizza was 5 stars all the way. I felt the pudding was a bit overpriced for what you got (2 scoops of vanilla ice cream between 2 cookies), but it was really nice. £3.50 for a diet coke also seems a bit excessive, but they do need to make their money. I always recommend this place to people and I'll continue to do so, as it's not 'just another pizza restaurant', it's so much more and allows you to be as creative as you want to be. It's definitely 2 thumbs up for Pizza Punks! Update: Over the last 2 weeks, I've visited here for the 3rd and 4th time. Since I initially posted my review, the prices have gone up. The pizza is now £12, which is still not bad for the pizza with unlimited toppings. The desserts (only 2 were available last time), were a rip off. £7 for a cookie dough and ice cream sandwich, which is basically 2 cheap cookies and single small scoop of some of the most tasteless, bland ice cream I've ever had. On the 3rd visit it took AGES for dinner to arrive and even longer for the pudding to arrive. To surmise, the place needs to watch it doesn't price itself out of the game with price hikes. We are all feeling the pinch. The creativity it allows is great, but I'd advise everyone to steer clear of the puddings, as they are a waste of money. Update:. We visited here on 26th January 2023 and the experience was poor. The waitress was lovely and attentive, so there were no issues there. The menu keeps changing and a starter my friend asked for is no longer on the menu, but instead of telling us that, they brought him a different item. He complained and got his starter for free. The place was very busy and the prices have jumped up again. They now have a policy where a tip is mandatorily added to your bill, which I think is an outright cheek, especially considering service can be variable and tipping should be optional. The real issue with the visit was I found a long human head hair baked in to the crust of the pizza. I didn't notice it until I'd nearly finished the pizza, but it was actually baked in to the crust. I should have complained, but with us previously having complained about the starter, I didn't want to cause further issues, plus it wasn't the fault of the waitress. We also had to point out the half price pizza and pasta promotion for January. All-in, not very impressed and I won't be rushing back.

The experience was okay. The food: Pizza and garlic bread were nice nothing spectacular for £13 a pizza. However we completely begrudge paying £7 for chicken wings that were the size of my pinky finger and barely lukewarm. Service: service was practically non existent we were greeted by a lovely girl (possibly manger) who was helpful in assisting with my partners allergy, taking our order and serving part of our food. The rest of the service didn’t exist no one came to check on our food, and we had to haul down a staff member to get more drinks (took multiple attempts) the man who took our drinks order sighed and rudely asked if there was anything else like it was an inconvenience. But the bartender was polite when he brought them over and he cleared or empty glasses. I go into detail on this because only when we get our bill do we find out there’s a 10% service charge split between all staff. For what the bare minimum of service. As an ex hospitality worker I would not expect any kind of tip for taking an order and putting a plate at the table. We often tip good service but feel it should go to the members of staff who earned it in our case the the young woman who sat us if we had known about it before hand frankly we would have removed it. The service wasn’t it! Atmosphere: nothing special, has pretty cool neon signs and the kind of trendy garage vibe but the 100 other places with the same idea that have better food and service.

I was pleasantly surprised by this! We were in the mood for pizza and, as we walked by, the menu grabbed my attention with the 'create your own' option with unlimited toppings. We sat down and immediately the place reminded me of Brewdog with it's design and layout. Even the red neon signs and the font on the menus looked similar. I lowered my expectations a little as I've seriously grown tired of Brewdog as of late, but when the food arrived my concerns went away. I went with a create your own (crème fraîche sauce, cherry tomatoes, olives, mushrooms and pork belly) while my wife went with the mushroom from the menu (wild mushrooms, truffle oil and potatoes). My pizza was bursting with flavor and I was very happy with my choices! My wife's pizza tasted like the Summer Bee from Crazy Pedros (her favourite) but even nicer. The potatoes were a surprisingly tasty addition! We had contemplated going with a sharing side but the pizzas themselves were more than enough for us. Though it could benefit from establishing its own identity in terms of design and aesthetic to stand out from other 'punk' bars, it's definitely worth recommending. Good tunes, great food and two happy customers!

Scroll down for update. Consistently the worst restaurant experience in Glasgow.

Slow and inattentive service at every stage, apart from one waitress who was clearly picking up everyone else’s slack. I’d almost finished my starter by the time my boyfriend’s starter finally arrived and we had to ask twice for our bill after being left waiting with stacked empty main course plates and no real chance to get desserts. We understand these things happen as we both work in restaurants but mostly felt it was unfair to the waitress who ended up being solely responsible for us ordering and receiving any part of our meal, which is why we’re leaving a review. I think she’d clocked us having only the one starter on our table as she’d taken our order, she seemed surprised/confused that nobody had taken a drinks or food order by the time she spoke to us the first time round, and then was the only one to check on our empty plates and glasses and ended up getting our bill after another staff member failed to do so. I’m not sure if it was due to understaffing or untrained staff, but if you don’t have the capacity to serve any more tables properly, please just don’t take the tables! We’d rather come back and spend the same/more money another time. The food was good especially for the price but it wasn’t particularly enjoyed due to everything else. It’s not fair on anyone to lean on one staff member to make up for the rest of the team/take tables that your lack of staff can’t handle.

Update: Returned with family to see if it was a fluke last time. Nope. An hour wait for pizzas with no check in, apology or acknowledgement of the wait - they tried to get us to buy more drinks several times, though, despite our glasses being half-full. Three pizzas finally arrived. By the time my dad’s pizza arrived we had long since finished. Their excuse was “sorry, we thought we ran out of artichokes but then we found some”, which is plain weird and doesn’t add up - what was the plan if you hadn’t found them? Just never serve the pizza, without checking back with us about it? We just asked for them to bring it in a takeaway box with the bill as it was very late by this point. no real apology, the pizza was still on the bill despite the additional 20 minute wait. they had the cheek to add a service charge, too, when the bill finally arrived (after asking for it more than once). horrible experience, and felt taken advantage of. i tell everyone to avoid at all costs and will never return. At any restaurant I’ve worked at this service and treatment would be an embarrassment to management, who would have involved themselves and taken off any hour-late food...
