Sharps Largs — Restaurant in Scotland

We haven’t been in since the last owners left. It’s ashame as this place has really gone down hill. All the seating has been ripped and taped up, looks terrible. Ladies toilets are not kept clean, overall, lots of dust in the cubicles infact not nice to use. The cider and beer selection is okay but now find them more expensive than anywhere else in Largs. They serve food but when we were in there was only one young girl on the bar so if we wanted food wonder who would have made it for us, very poor. Also I don’t think it’s right leaving one person, should have at least two people incase anything happens. Whoever owns this pub needs to give it a good makeover to make it more inviting for when you walk in. Don’t know if we will be back...

What can we say....??? Such an amazing little find. We rang on Monday from Leeds and mentioned we were travelling up to Weymss on Friday and would like to see the Leeds United Match ...the lady on the phone, Iona, was incredibly helpful and friendly and said they would be able to accommodate us. Today is Friday and true to her word the table was ready for us, Sky channel set up and menus were provided. We were blown away by the food, the home made burgers are exceptional as was the home made steak and ale pie. Each of us would highly recommend this little gem to anyone visiting Largs. The owners are a lovely couple. The staff couldn't do enough to make sure everything was fine.....we will definitely visit...

I spent a wonderful primary school reunion at Sharp's on Saturday with 2 friends. The server was friendly, food tasty and good value for money. The 6 nations rugby was on offer to the fans in one section, followed by a 60th Birthday party. I'd had another gathering after the reunion with a different group arranged and was kindly asked to relocate to another comfortable section to accommodate the 60th. The atmosphere generally was a very happy one, music playing in the pub section. Service overall was smooth and consistent, and I'll definitely return when the opportunity arrives.
