A heritage building bang opposite to Glasgow Queen Street and it deserves the crowd that it draws. Another wetherspoon people might say but you cannot beat the price of a pint and food and at such a central location. We went a few times just for the food and also because there was a lack of a decent setting at this price point around this place. Child friendly till 9 PM which is reasonable and we saw quite a few families as well. I would pass the Indian offerings though there are quite some there and stick to the Pizzas and Dessert. We tried the apple Bramble with cream and it was delicious. I read some critics on delays in food reaching the table. To be fair it did take some time, but not very much and instead have to give credit to the boys and girls working so hard there. We need to be a bit generous to their hard work while catering to such a huge crowd and not be very fussy about it.

A disproportionally big venue without enough staff Not easy to get your order Arrived on a Sunday morning 11 am with hunger, tried to approach the till to make food order but did not get much attention and went for mobile ordering instead (bonus point for this) Table that needs cleaning As seen in the picture, the used mugs are piling up on the table. And the table itself is sticky and covered with breadcrumbs. Coffee machine lacks maintenance Long queue in front of the coffee machine because only 2 out of 4 are working. Even though it’s very simple issue with milk/coffee beans replenishment. Food taking ages to arrive Waited 48 mins before our food arrived, and my hash brown is missing from the breakfast meal. Toilets are not functioning One hand dryer is not working, one tap is just broken. Hygiene overall is looking ok. Conclusion: would not recommend if you are very hungry on a Sunday morning. Be prepared to leave with anger and disappointment.

I can't believe I've been Glaswegian since 2021 and only had my first Spoons about 3 months ago. Altho late to the Scottish party, I took to the chicken wings + Prosecco like fish to the water. Would recommend any Wetherspoons in Glasgow (and all over the UK) if you want a taste of the varied, beautiful British cuisine. Fish and chips? Chicken Tikka Masala? Beef Lasagna? Udon noodles? Tempura prawn sushi? We have it ALL here in Glasgow city centre. Do visit our green country 🏴 🍃 And connect with me for a nice local guided tour/ political discussion/ religious history lesson/ uni academic experience review.....People make Glasgow, not expensive things or exploitative companies. See you laters, alligators 🐊 Divya ❤️🏴🍃

Popped in here for a spot of breakfast before doing some shopping and wasn't really impressed.I had eggs Benedict. The muffin was hard and hard to cut,the eggs were overcooked and the hollandaise sauce was bland. My mum had the standard breakfast where, although she enjoyed,it wasn't very hot.The service was good but won't be back for breakfast. So deciding to give the place another chance we went for dinner a couple of days later and it wasn't any better, mum had fish&chips and it was overcooked, and inedible and I had the veggie pizza which was like cardboard and tasteless.I definitely won't be eating here again. However on a positive note the staff were very friendly and helpful.I also like the fact that there's NO music or TV.

A lovely building just around George Square in Glasgow I was there on Steak club Tues. The steak was a bit tough it's a shame as meal was tasty. I had red wine and a large glass of water, as I was thirsty after travelling to Glasgow, with my meal, that was lovely and refreshing; the building is under refurbishment but doesn't interfere with diners it is an old bank and one of the first Georgian buildings in George Square...and a listed building. Wetherspoons need to up their game on their steak suppliers as I've not had a tender steak at the franchise for a while. Great atmosphere and a popular venue in Glasgow's fair city...reasonably priced as always great service by friendly staff

As Whetherspoons go this was great, no complaints whatsoever. Obviously bearing in mind the usual expectation of it being tightly packed and busy. We visited as a group of four on an evening/dinner time. We all ordered separately via the app at the table (as it was very busy at the bar). The app was easy to use and the food came out roughly together and quicker than we expected. I tried the haggis pizza, on a recommendation from a (very) close by table and it was delicious. Everything was clean and staff were friendly despite them being run off their feet.
