Awwww man, this place, the whiskies, the staff - everything about it was great. We only popped in for a wee dram each and the welcome and service was everything we could have asked. Real friendly and knowledgable bar staff. Gave us all the time he could. Talked us through whisky options, checked with us what we were happy with spending first - so know price ambushes or pushy selling. Just a genuine whisky lover sharing his passion and a world of knowledge. Being a local pub, it would have been easy to feel an outsider, but no, the staff made it a highlight of our weekend in Glasgow. Recommended, whatever your knowledge and experience of whisky, they will meet you where you're at and you'll be better off for it.

Loved this place. Friendly, attentive service matched by really great pub grub. Good atmosphere on a Sunday afternoon, with couples and groups but not overly noisy. The burger is huge, with two giant onion rings on top. The fries were hot and fresh. Came with a lil pot of coleslaw and some salsa. However...if you're getting any kind of potato or dippable thing, make sure you get some or Brendan's Whiskey Sauce. Heavenly, like a thick and creamy sauce you'd find on a good steak or meatballs.. If they bottled this stuff up I'd have bought some. Speaking of, they've won tons of awards for their whiskey, which you can buy in the pub itself.

Great pub with home cooked food and a whopping selection of whisky. My other half saw the reviews for this place so we popped in for some lunch while visiting Glasgow. Strange location on the side of the motorway but don't let that put you off. We got there before 12 and nearly all the tables were booked out for lunch, a really good sign. They have an amazing value special 2 course deal on for 6.95. The food was home cooked and delicious and served quickly. By the time we left the place was packed. Very popular and deservedly so. Had a lovely lunch.

Had an unscheduled stopover in Glasgow due to travel issues caused by storms.

Fancied heading out for a bite to eat and a drink in the evening- pub came up recommended online. The good reviews were spot on as it's a lovely pub.

The place looks great and historic, inside and out. Lots of cozy spots to sit and chill- my type of place. Everything was clean and well-kept, including the toilets.

Quite a few customers were there for food and the meal I had was excellent (Cajun chicken and fries) and pretty good value. Staff were friendly, efficient and helpful.

Pub is obviously known for its large whisky selection- it's pretty impressive and I sampled a few. There's a great selection to try for whisky lovers. Plenty of everything else too if you're not into whisky.

Can't really criticise anything. It's a lovely pub, not far from major transport hubs, with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Also has football on TV. Staff are excellent, foods good and if you're into whisky, it's a...

My partner and I found the pub on Saturday the 6th after having to leave our dog at the vets for x-rays. Place was by no means full but there was a buzz about the place. Sat for some food and I had the garlic mushrooms as starter, not the brake bros frozen ones these were the real deal, tasty tasty, salt/chilli chicken burger main and I'd say one of the tasties burgers I've ever had. We were back in today and place was quiet, steak pie I had and partner had the chilli, both meals fantastic and I'd say the menu as a whole is value for money. If anyone is ever in town and wants good old fashioned pub grub then this the place I'd recommend all day long, great atmosphere and friendly...
